Chapter 12

"The result is?" He asks her.

"It's false, Artemis" Dr. Reeves answers.

His senses stop working for a second and processes what she said right now.

"Are you sure?" 

"Yes, two hundred percent sure. This time there is no fault" She confirms the result.

"Thank you, Samantha" 

"What you do now, Artemis?"

"Fetching the truth from her" He cuts the call before she replies.

His blood boils after knowing the truth.

"Jana?" He calls her while getting down from the stairs.

"Artemis" Jana approaches her, keeping her right hand on an invisible bump.

He sees her action and chuckles.

"What happened, Artemis? You are not ready yet?" She asks.

"I got some important news from someone" 

She gulps.

"What happened to you? you are sweating in the AC room?Huh?"

"It's nothing like that, it's just pregnancy hormones" She forces smiles on her face.

"Let's play a game, shall we?" He holds her hand and goes to the upstairs bedroom.

Mrs. Bunman watches them and stands silently in the hall. She does not understand what he means.

"Artemis?" Jana tries to remain calm.

He takes her to his bedroom and locks the door.

"Do you love me?" He asks and slowly walks towards her.

"Yes" She steps back.

"Prove me" He again steps forward.

"What?" She steps back.

"Have I done anything wrong for you?" He asks.

"No, Absolutely no" She whimpers in fear.

"Did I rape you?"

"No"

"Did I abuse you?"

"No"

"Did I force you on something?"

"No!"

"Then why you are playing with me?" He takes a large step.

"I do not understand what you are talking" She steps back until her legs touch the bed.

"You said you were not on birth control pills, right?"

Now she understands, what he is trying to talk about.

"Yes" She nods.

"When you have stopped using those pills?"

"Few days before you proposed to me"

"Have I used a condom on that day?"

"No"

"Liar" He raises his voice.

"No, I am telling the truth"

"Don't make me take any wrong step right now, Jana!" He warns her.

"Really, I am not using those pills at that time and you didn't wear a condom"

"I clearly remembered that I had used a condom when we were having sex and it doesn't matter when you are on a pill or not"

"No, you have not used the condom"
