He did say he wanted to focus on his future, but then again, everyone has a side hustle, and Yeonjun decided his would be the occasional party. Balancing his aspirations with the allure of college life seemed like a reasonable compromise. After all, these experiences could offer their own kind of education—one that couldn't be learned in a classroom. As the lecture droned on, Yeonjun's thoughts kept drifting back to the upcoming party. He wondered what it would be like, who he might meet, and how it could play into his college journey. There was a thrill in the unknown, in the promise of new connections and unexpected adventures.
With a final glance at Soobin, who still seemed deeply engrossed in the class, Yeonjun made a mental note to find out more about the party. He could picture it already: the vibrant atmosphere, the music, the mix of familiar faces and new ones. It would be a chance to let loose, to explore this new phase of his life from a different angle.
When the class finally ended, Yeonjun felt a renewed sense of excitement. He packed up his things and headed out, determined to get the details on the party. If he was going to balance his dreams with the occasional dive into college nightlife, he might as well start now.
And so, with a smile on his face and a sense of anticipation buzzing in his chest, Yeonjun stepped out into the bright afternoon, ready to embrace whatever came his way.
Yeonjun made his way through the bustling campus, weaving between groups of students who were chatting and laughing as they moved from one building to another. His mind buzzed with the possibilities of the night ahead. He had heard bits and pieces about college parties, but experiencing one for himself was an entirely different matter.
First things first: he needed details. He spotted a couple of familiar faces from his business class near the campus fountain, talking animatedly. Summoning his courage, he approached them.
"Hey, guys," Yeonjun began, flashing a friendly smile. "I couldn't help but overhear something about a party tonight. Do you know where it's happening?"
One of the students, a tall guy with a baseball cap turned backward, grinned. "Yeah, man, it's at Jake's place. It's gonna be wild. You should totally come."
"Sounds great. What time does it start?"
"Around nine," the girl next to the guy said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Just follow the noise. Trust me, you can't miss it."
With a quick thank you, Yeonjun headed back to his dorm, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. He had a few hours before the party, just enough time to get some more studying done and pick out an outfit.
Back in his room, Taehyun was, unsurprisingly, hunched over his laptop, typing furiously. Yeonjun decided not to mention the party just yet; Taehyun wasn't exactly the party type, and he didn't want to start a debate.
Yeonjun settled at his desk and tried to focus on his notes, but his mind kept drifting. Finally, as the evening shadows lengthened, he decided it was time to get ready. He chose a casual but stylish outfit: a fitted black tee, distressed jeans, and his favorite pair of sneakers. He checked his reflection in the mirror, adjusting his hair and adding a spritz of cologne for good measure.
"Heading out?" Taehyun asked without looking up from his screen.
"Yeah, just gonna check out a party," Yeonjun replied, trying to sound casual.
Taehyun paused and looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Be careful, okay? And don't do anything stupid."
Yeonjun laughed. "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
