"I think you should stop obsessing over it," Blaze said calmly over the phone."I know I should, but who does that? Did he not see us?" Yeonjun ranted, collapsing onto the couch in frustration. Holding the phone to his ear, he listened as Blaze continued, his voice steady.
"I guess we'll never know, Yeonjun. Besides, there are more important things we could be discussing right now," Blaze reasoned.
Yeonjun sighed, acknowledging the truth in Blaze's words. "Like what?" he asked softly.
"When I get to see you again," Blaze replied smoothly.
Yeonjun chuckled. "Apparently once a week, Kazzie's adamant about dragging me out clubbing," he said.
"Good, you need to get out more," Blaze remarked.
"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Yeonjun mused aloud.
"Maybe because it's true?" Blaze suggested, prompting Yeonjun to roll his eyes.
"Touché," Yeonjun conceded. "I just can't stop thinking about that motorbike," he confessed, changing the subject back to his worries.
"Yeonjun," Blaze groaned in exasperation from the other end of the line.
"I'm sorry! It's eating me up inside," Yeonjun insisted. Then he took a deep breath. "Okay, let's think of something else. Give me a distraction," he suggested, sitting up straighter.
"Hmm, well. What are you wearing?" Blaze's voice took on a husky tone, catching Yeonjun off guard.
Yeonjun felt his cheeks flush. "A hoodie and shorts," he stammered out.
"Cute," Blaze teased lightly. "And what about you?" Yeonjun countered, trying to divert the conversation.
"Nothing," Blaze replied smoothly, his tone suggestive.
Yeonjun's eyes widened, feeling a sudden surge of excitement. "Oh?" he replied, his own voice betraying his interest.
"Mhm, maybe we can match," Blaze teased further, just as Yeonjun opened his mouth to respond.
Before Yeonjun could say anything, the door suddenly swung open. "If I was with you right now, I'd fuck you so hard—"
"Taehyun! Hey!" Yeonjun exclaimed, flinging his phone across the room in surprise. He stood up quickly. "What brings you here so early?" he asked, trying to recover from the interruption.
Taehyun shut the door behind him, looking a little concerned but maintaining his usual annoyed expression. "I was at debate club," he explained curtly. "I'll leave you to your... phone sex," he added, turning to walk towards his room.
Yeonjun sighed deeply, realizing he was caught in an awkward moment. "Shit," he muttered under his breath, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration at the timing.
Blaze and Yeonjun were now in a steady relationship. They called each other almost every day, spending hours together in conversation, often losing track of time. Yeonjun sent Blaze a brief text message and then switched off his phone. He briefly considered knocking on Taehyun's door to seek refuge or solace, but the thought of facing Taehyun's inevitable lectures made him change his mind. Instead, he opted for a late-night walk to clear his mind.
As Yeonjun stepped out into the cool night air, he found the campus surprisingly quiet. The familiar paths he usually took during his late-night walks seemed empty and peaceful under the moonlight. He let his thoughts wander as he walked, reflecting on how quickly things had changed since meeting Blaze.
Their relationship had blossomed unexpectedly fast, fueled by their intense conversations and shared moments. Yeonjun couldn't deny the rush he felt whenever Blaze's name popped up on his phone or when they made plans to meet. It was exhilarating, yet part of him felt apprehensive about how fast things were moving.
