"I broke up with him," Yeonjun said."Really?" Kazzie replied.
Yeonjun squinted.
"You say that like you didn't expect me to."
"I'm just saying, you don't seem the type to be firm like that," she said.
"And also," Yeonjun began.
"Uh oh," Kazzie muttered.
"You told my sworn enemy?" he said.
"I didn't mean to! We crossed paths and started chatting, and it sorta slipped out," Kazzie explained.
"Unbelievable," Yeonjun said, shaking his head.
"What's unbelievable?" a voice came from behind them, making them both yelp in surprise. "Something you'd like to share with the class, Ms. Greenwald? Mr. Choi?" the professor questioned.
"No, uhm, sorry, sir," Yeonjun stammered.
The professor raised an eyebrow, his gaze shifting from Yeonjun to Kazzie and back again.
"Just a private matter, sir," Kazzie quickly interjected, trying to diffuse the situation.
Yeonjun nodded in agreement. "Yeah, just a misunderstanding, Professor."
The professor's expression softened slightly. "Very well then, but let's keep personal conversations for outside of class time, shall we?"
"Yes, sir," they both chorused, relieved that the professor didn't press further.
As the professor walked away, Kazzie turned to Yeonjun with an apologetic look. "I really didn't mean to blurt it out to Soobin. It just slipped out."
Yeonjun sighed, understanding her predicament. "It's fine, I guess. But now Soobin knows."
Kazzie bit her lip. "Do you think he'll make a big deal out of it?"
Yeonjun shrugged. "Who knows with him? He's unpredictable."
Kazzie nodded solemnly. "Just be careful, okay? I didn't mean to cause trouble."
"I know," Yeonjun reassured her with a small smile. "Let's just focus on getting through this class without any more drama."
They both settled back into their seats, trying to concentrate on the lecture while silently hoping that their unintentional revelation wouldn't lead to more complications.
After class, Yeonjun had a free period, which he decided to spend in his dorm with Taehyun, watching Grey's Anatomy. They were engrossed in the show, debating the romantic tension between characters when suddenly, a knock interrupted their binge-watching.
"I'll get it," Yeonjun muttered, pushing himself off the couch and opening the door. To his surprise, Thomas stood on the other side.
"Thomas, what are you doing here?" Yeonjun asked, taken aback.
"You've been avoiding me, so I wanted to apologize for whatever I did," Thomas replied earnestly.
Yeonjun sighed and gestured for Thomas to step inside before gently closing the door behind them. "You don't need to apologize. It's just been hectic these first few weeks, especially with... well, mainly boys," Yeonjun explained.
"Boys?" Thomas echoed, clearly puzzled.
"Yeah, but my main focus here is my future, and nothing else," Yeonjun stressed, hoping to clarify things.
"I understand. I promise I don't want any drama," Thomas assured him.
"Thank you," Yeonjun said, feeling relieved. "So, are you seeing anyone right now?" Thomas inquired cautiously.
