Chapter 3: Royal Lover, Royal Liar, Royal Magic, Royal Crier

As for why Sophie didn't leave Leo if she was so unhappy, by now it was for his money and the royal life he provided for her. She couldn't possibly go back to her old life now! Besides, while she might not care about her husband, nor her children, it gave her something to distract her from work. However, she did still find fun in taking nights out.

"Leo, can we go out tonight? We haven't had a night out in ages and the girls want to catch up!"
Sophie yelled to him

"Not tonight, love. What if the kids need us?"
Leo replied, sounding concerned for his children.

"Ah, who cares about them? We need to have a little fun to ourselves again, come on, it's just one night!"
She argued

Leo felt his stomach twist, he knew leaving his just few months-old children alone wasn't a good idea, and was even child abuse. His voice reflected how much he didn't want to do this.
"Okay....I'll get Nova to watch over them."

Sophie smiled
"Got it, I'll be waiting in the car!"

Leo sank to his knees once she left and just began to sob. His tears weren't normal, though, they were red. As red as blood, in fact, they were blood.

"I'm sorry babies...please forgive me for this..."
He begged, only to himself, while his children slept blissfully unaware.

Leo took her out that night, and Nova looked after all five children, for many, many nights to come. Leo gave in, every, single, time. Then, one night, Sophie made a terrible request of Leo.
"Hey babe?"
She began

"Yes, dear?"
Leo replied

"So, you know how you've got that freaky magic of yours cause your royal and stuff?"

Leo seemed confused, he turned to face her and tilted his head
"Yes...what about my magic?"

"You know how the kids are growing up kind of...slow?"

Leo's eyes widened a little, he had a feeling he knew what was coming next.
"No...Sophie I can't do that."

"Yes you can. Come on, I'm sure they don't wanna be kids for this long either."
She told him

"Sophie no, I can't-"
She grabbed Leo by his collar and pulled him close, her ears spiking up
"Do it or I'm walking out that fucking door."
Sophie scowled.

"But it'll hurt them-"

"DO YOU WANT ME AROUND OR NOT?"

"Yes, yes I do! Ok, ok I'll do it!"
Leo agreed with bloody tears in his eyes.

"Ugh, don't cry. Especially not with those horrid tears. If you get your weird blood on my outfit I swear to Satan."
Sophie rolled her eyes flippantly and let go of Leo's collar, almost like she was disgusted with him.

Leo closed his eyes tightly and walked to the children's room. They were all awake and immediately recognised him. He smiled down at them as the blood rolled down his face before picking each of them up. Two in each arm, and one on his head which made his laugh. He then put them all onto the floor in a line and knelt in front of them.
"This shouldn't hurt you, alright? No hurt...it'll be over soon."
He told each of them, knowing they couldn't understand him.

Leo put two of his hands together, like he was performing a prayer, and closed his eyes. He then uttered the words of an ancient spell. Pink smoke arose from his fingertips as he spoke and surrounded each individual toddler, engulfing them entirely. When Leo opened his eyes again, after the spell was complete, there were no longer five young children in front of him, but five teens.

The five teens opened their own eyes, briefly confused at their own bodies. The spell gave them most necessary life knowledge, they all knew who they were and who their family was.
