After Luna's attack, Harriet sat with him and consoled him for hours until he passed out. This event is what planted the seed of utter resentment that drove Harriet from this point; she had a talk with Luna the next morning, having fallen asleep with him that night.

"Luna?"
Harriet muttered as she tried to be gentle with him

"Hmm?"
Luna slowly opened one eye and looked up to her

"I know it's too soon right now, but you should tell father about this."
She told him, her wolf ears lowering

Luna's face changed to being afraid, his eyes went wider as his ears also went down.
"I...I guess I could...but what if he doesn't believe me?"
He asked, his voice sounded paranoid

"He has to...you've got the proof written all over your body."
Harriet mumbled, knowing this likely wasn't the right thing to say. Thankfully, it didn't seem to make Luna feel any worse as he looked down to the bite marks on his body

"Yeah...I do. We'll tell him eventually. Though, that's not the first thing on my mind...Look, could you...get Jace for me? I want him here"
Luna then asked her
"It isn't that I don't appreciate your company, I've just...always been closer with him, you know?"

"Of course, I understand."
Harriet nodded to him and kissed his head, before standing up and heading outside the room to find Jace. The prince was training outside with one of the guards when Harriet approached him.

"Jace?"

"What is it, Harriet?"
The boy asked. Turning to face her as he lowered his sword back into its sheath.

"It's Luna, he's asking for you. Something...happened last night."

Jace's eyes went wide with fear as he got hold of Harriet's shoulders
"What is it, what happened?"
He asked her frantically, his personality having changed completely from being calm and collected.
"He got hurt...by mother."
Harriet explained

Jace fell silent, he let go of her shoulders as his hands fell. His pupil became thin, like a diamond shaped slit. The prince got hold of his sword handle with great strength, his hands shaking as he growled lowly, baring his fangs.

"Jace-"
Harriet tried to console him, reaching out a hand, only to be smacked away

"Make sure the others are safe. I'll deal with her."
He told his sister harshly, his voice had gone deeper and colder.

"Jace. Don't do anything rash. Father doesn't know yet, maybe he'll sort it-"
Harriet tried again.

"Harriet, you know just as well as I do that man has no spine. He won't stand up to that woman for anything, you've heard him talk crap about us just to please her. Keep Luna and Josephine safe, I know Eclipse can handle this kind of thing."
Jace commanded her

"Jace, for fuck sake just listen to me!"
Harriet yelled
"While you're right in saying father won't stand up to her, and while I know this hurts you too, Luna needs you! He asked me to come out here to get you specifically! If you go in there swinging your sword without any reason, father is bound to hurt you!"

She sighed
"Look, I'm not going to give you some 'love conquers all' bullshit speech, because you know as well as I do that isn't the case here. Just go inside and comfort him, sit with him, listen to him. Let myself and Luna have a talk with father about what happened when he's ready, there's a logical way to sort this out."

Harriet then put her hands on Jace's shoulders from behind and leaned into his lowered ears, whispering.

"I promise that if it does come down to violence, you can destroy that wretched woman however you see fit. Just hold off
until then."
