~Chp 6: what are we?~

" Yuri! Yuri!! Wake up its time to start school." Lily exclaimed.

I opened my eyes slightly and tiredly as I pulled the blanket up to cover my nose.

"Lily I'm not feeling well I think I'm going to skip today" I whispered trying to make my voice sound as sick as I could pull off.

"But how can a vampire get sick? Do you want me to call the nurse or something?" Lily whispered getting closer to examine me and I pulled the covers above my head.

"No thank you Lily. I'll just rest for a while, okay?" I answered quickly.

"Ok if you say so, I'll tell you what happened when I get back alright?" she said as she walked to the door.

"Mmhm" was all I said, and she left leaving me alone. I knew I couldn't pull this sick act forever; I was going to have to think of something. I got out of bed and started to change. Well as long as humans can't sense me, I guess I'll be fine. But how am I going to avoid the night class. I held the doorknob and sighing I opened the door walking into the empty corridor. I quietly hurried through the hall to go out to the woods where I had met the white-haired pureblood lady.

It was completely deserted outside. 'Guess everyone's in class'. I ran to the nearest tree trying to hide while I escaped. I sprinted past the night class's dorms towards the nearest trees but, the next thing I knew I was falling to the ground face first. Had I tripped? The fall surprised me I usually always see where I'm stepping. I rubbed my head and turned to see what I had tripped on. I was expecting to see a rock or something but to my surprise it was a leg. I stood and walked towards the person. It was zero! He was sitting on the ground, leaning on the tree.

"Zero?" I asked questioning as I approached him carefully. "Are you okay?"

He sat looking up at the sky but turned towards me and glared at me.

"Sorry I didn't mean to-" I said as I looked around to see if anyone was coming. He suddenly stood up holding the tree for support.

"What are you doing running around, you should be in class?"

"I know but I was just looking for something." I replied as he leaned on the tree. "Can I?" I asked walking towards him and leaning on the tree, next to him.

"Your one of the Kiryu twins right"

"How do you know?"

"I've heard stories."

"From the hunter association?"

"No from the headmaster, I don't know much about the 'world' I've always been kept apart" i pulled my hair out of my face and he looked at me questionably. I looked up at him.

"What?" I asked. Was it something I said?

"Your strange" was all he said before looking back up at the sky. I remained staring at him.

"Why are you involved in the hunter's association" he asked calmly.

"From Kaien I guess. But I guess since I'm a pureblood I can't really be involved with them, right?"

He didn't say anything, and we stood there for what seemed like forever in silence. I wanted to ask him about his parents or how he became a vampire, but I didn't want to intrude.

"Are you ok?" He finally asked breaking the awkward silence. I came back to reality.

"Yeah, I just space out a lot?" I chuckled, "I should go its late."

"Yeah"

I walked past him then stopped and turned towards zero.

"It was nice talking with you" I said before turning back around and walking away.

I arrived in my dorm and slumped on my bed. I was exhausted and lily wasn't here yet. I lay there thinking where she could be but before I knew it my heavy eyelids began to fall, and I dozed off into a deep sleep.

I awoke from my nap to a loud bang and the scent of blood. Looking outside I saw it was night already. I sniffed again smelling zeros blood! I stood and ran outside. I followed the scent it took me through the night class's dorm. I was close but before I could arrive some guy with blonde hair and blue eyes stood before me, he was in the night class, I could tell from the uniform. he stared at me.

"Hmmm I've never seen you around are you new here?" He walked towards me then stopped.

"You're a? You're a vampire."

Danm he found out I guess I'm going to have to erase his memory.

"You smell quite nice."

He kept walking towards me and brought his hand up to brush my neck. I swatted his hand and kicked him in the gut sending him flying back. He got angry and once I noticed my feet were frozen solid and stuck to the ground. Guess it's going to be a little of a challenge to erase his memory.

"That's enough" a deep and familiar voice spoke loudly. We both jerked our head to see who it was, and my eyes widened at the sight. There he stood in all his glory the person I most hate in this world.
