~Chp 19: wounds~

Yuris pov*

"I see, class has been cancelled?" I asked.

"Thats what I've been told"

"Thank you for informing me." The girl bowed and walked out of the dorm. That was strange. Why has it been cancelled. Just what are you planning kaname?

I ran out my door heading for Aidous room. Once I arrived I swung the door open. Akatsuki was laying in a couch playing with a paper plane, he turned towards me confused. Aidou was standing near a window looking out before turning to me surprised.

"Yuri?"

"Aidou, can I have a moment?" he didn't respond instead he walked towards me and pushed me out the door.

"What?"

"What happened with zero?"

"Nothing really, we didn't talk much." He gaze locked on the wall behind me.

I sighed and brought my hands up to his head. At the feeling of my touch he jumped surprised then stayed frozen in his spot. I closed my eyes as images began flowing through my mind. I viewed his conversation with zero and brought my hands down. He inhaled heavily.

"What was that?!" He asked

"You weren't going to tell me so i had to help myself, sorry" I shrugged as he looked at me annoyed. "Aidou if zero has a blood bond with shizuka then...?"

"Then they're attached together. He has to live as her servant for the rest of his life"

"But won't zero fall to level E?" I whispered

"Yeah but only shizuka can help him with that, thats why he won't be able to kill her."

~Time skip~

After my talk with Aidou i went back to my room. I had to talk with Maria, or shizuka? I walked to kanames room and opened the door without asking but, it was empty. He's not here! Something was definitely wrong. I ran through the hall and out the door. Without thinking i headed to the old night class dormitory.

It was old but well kept. The door creaked as i opened it slowly. It was dark inside all the windows were covered with old white sheets filled with dust. I used one of my special skills as i sensed to see if anyone was here. To my luck there was someone here, in the master room, kanames old room. I walked towards it cautiously.

Once i arrived i stood outside the door. My hand on the door handle. I breathed in and turned it opening the door. The room was empty. No one was here, strange, i had sensed someone here. Right when i took a step forward i felt someone behind me. They swumg at me and i jumped out of the way. Once at a safe distance i turned to see zero standing in front of the door, but, his hair was longer and he wore a mask.

Wait, that wasn't zero, "your zeroes brother, right?"

He scowled at me angrily.

I brought my hands up, "sorry did i offend you?-"

He swung ag me again. This time i swiftly moved to the side and kicked the sword. It flew across the room.

"Why dont we talk about this?" I brought one hand up and closed it into a fist. The sword on the floor broke to pieces. He looked at the sword then at me. "Im looking for maria, I dont suppose you know where she is"

"Ichiru?" As if on cue maria walked in behind zeros brother. "Well this is a surprise, ichiru can you give us a second"

Ichiru walked out the door angrily, shutting it.

"Princess Yuri to what do I owe this visit?"

"I want you to save zero"

"Thats such a strange request, after all what do you care"

"I dont I just..." I thought about it for a moment, " I hate to see him suffer the way he is" I sat on Maria's bed. She walked over and sat next to me. She placed a hand on my cheek.

"You know somethings aren't able to be stopped but, tell me something why wont you give me kaname kurans corpse after all he did abandon you a long time ago"

"Sometimes its best to forget the past"

"Not even you understand your past how could you forget?"

I stayed confused, thinking.

"Yuri, would you really give yourself to me jusy for the sake of other people who have given you nothing but pain...."

~Time skip~

I left the old dormitory after talking with maria, her voice still echoed in my head. I stopped and looked up at the full moon above me. The cool breeze flowed through my hair.

"Yes I would" I whispered into the wind.

3rd person pov*

In the distance Maria smirked through her window looking out at the same full moon.

"So be it then" she replied.

Yuris pov*

The ball was in two days. I snuck into the soon to be ballroom. It was empty and dark except for the light from the moon through some windows. Some decorations were put up and it was starting to look good. I spinned in the middle of the room smiling like a child. My long hair flowed around following my movements. I stopped once i heard noises. I climbed up the stairs and walked through the small hallway upstairs to a door. I ended up on a place that was like a receptionist? It was big and had two sets of stairs in the middle. I heard the noise again like someone breathing heavily. I turned to the direction. Zero was laying in the floor with a slash across his chest.

"Zero?!?" I ran down the stairs and kneeled by him. He was unconscious. What do i do?? I thought to myself. I layed my hand on his cheek.

"Zero?" He didn't reply. I then looked at his wound it was deep. I brought my hand over it and felt the warm blood. I immediately got an ache in my stomach. I covered my mouth to stop myself and shut my eyes. I opened them again and looked around to see if anyone was here. How did this happen? Then I remembered maria had a stain of blood on her lower stomach. Had zero been the cause if it? My thoughts were interrupted by a hand grabbing my shoulder. Zero groaned.

"Zero are you ok?" He brought himself to kneel in front of me and put his hands on my shoulders for support. He was breathing heavily. I could tell by the way he tightened his grip, he was fighting his urge....his urge to take my blood. I swept my hair to the side exposing the pale skin of my neck.

"Zero, it's okay."

He groaned angrily before resting his forehead on my shoulder. I felt the sharp pinch of his fangs sinking into my neck. I could hear the sound of my blood echo in my ear drums and I closed my eyes.

'I owe you just this once.' I thought to myself.

After a while that seemed like forever zero stopped drinking my blood but still held his lips close to my neck. I knew he was fighting the urge to drink every last drop in my body. I felt weak as I still remained motionless. His breathing finally relaxed and he brought his head up. I immediately looked at his wound. It was completely gone. I sighed and looked back at him.

"Are you feeling better?" I asked. He kept quiet.

"Im sorry" he whispered.

"Its fine." I sighed.

He looked at me confused. We stared into each other's eyes and I lost myself in his gaze. I brought a hand up and brushed zero's hair from his forehead and rested it on his cheek. Our faces moved slowly closer until we were centimeters from each other. I closed the gap and brought my lips to his. My mind went blank as I felt his warm lips against mine. I could taste the blood in his mouth. Somewhat salty but sweet.

I broke the kiss and immediately ran out the door. My heart was beating a hundred miles per hour and my breathing was heavy.

What had i just done? I couldn't catch feelings for someone not at a time like this. I ignored it and told myself it was simply an impulsive decision and I wasn't thinking straight. I wonder... what would zero think? Would he be angry? A ray of sun shone in my room. It was morning, I might as well catch some sleep.
