S wakes up in the elevator. He looks around to see the decapitated head of the sentinel. He rubs his eyes, not being able to believe them. He was so close to death yet here he is, alive. As he gets up the lights around the elevator turn bright yellow, and S falls to the floor as alarms blare. S tries to get up but he begins coughing up oil as his eyes glitch out. He looks up to see the elevator vent open and a camera descends.
"COME FIND ME..S...DISAPPEAR"
Everything turns back to normal as the elevator stops and the doors open. He looks on to see a dark hallway. The walls are made of dirt and supported by beams, similar to an old mine. As S steps out he looks around to try and see the end of the hallway. He knows that the only thing to do now is press on.
S puts on the helmet activating a flashlight on it. He's startled to see a few human skeletons around the place. He quietly walks through the place unable to make out where the hallway ends. All of a sudden he hears...something. He turns around quickly to see the elevator ascending, stopping any chance of him going back. He turns back only to see something in the distance. He squints his eyes, unable to make it out. It was a worker drone, a small one. It looked like it was waving at him. S realized who it was and dropped the shotgun in his hand.
It was T.
Somehow he was alive. How was he even here? Earth is destroyed and T was definitely not one of the three Murder Drones he saw attack Copper 9.
S knew that whatever was down that hallway, whatever was waving at him...wasn't T.
He picked up the shotgun holstering it and ran in the opposite direction.
He only makes a few feet however until a solver symbol appears on his leg making him trip. He tries to get up quickly only for a solver symbol to hold onto his leg, tightly. The already damaged leg is slowly getting crushed. S squirms trying to escape but it won't budge.
As "T" approaches, looking as if he is floating, S gets dizzy coughing up more and more oil as his visor glitches.
"Where were you, S?"
"T's" voice sounded more robotic than usual.
"LET GO! YOU'RE NOT T! HE'S DEAD!" The lights flicker to display a bunch of claws holding up "T" as he keeps approaching, moving like a puppet on strings.
"I COULD'VE LIVED, S. I COULD'VE LIVED IF YOU WERE THERE." S has given up getting his leg free and instead switches to pulling off the leg with his arms, still coughing up oil.
"MAYBE IF YOU STAYED." "T" was now a few feet away; the light from S's helmet flickers off, only displaying "T's" yellow eyes.
"YOU WOULD HAVE CONVINCED ME..."
A claw shoots out from the dark grabbing S as the solver symbol disappears. Cyn appears from the darkness
"...TO NOT KILL HIM."
She touches S in the visor and he goes limp.
S wakes up. Sirens blaring around he gets up to see he's in a city. Fire and destruction were everywhere. He looks around to see several Murder Drones flying about swooping down to attack civilians. S looks down at his feet to see T, lying there with a shattered visor. S gets to his knees taking T's corpse and cradling it in his arms. He sobs to himself as he looks in the air at a great ball of fire approaching. When it finally hits S he closes his eyes.
S wakes up on the ground Cyn floating over him. "HE FELT NO PAIN, THANKFULLY. I THOUGHT OF MAKING HIM INTO A MURDER DRONE."
S is on his knees shaken up by what he's seen. "BUT ONLY THE STRONG CAN SURVIVE. YOU CAN GUESS THAT HE WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH."
S looks pissed off, he takes out his shotgun firing it at Cyn's face. She lurches back grabbing her face as the wounds set in.
"OW. YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT."
S gets up quickly and limps away quickly. As he limps he hears something big approaching him quickly. S takes quick turns attempting to escape this maze of hallways. He makes a turn and ducks down as he hears the large thing pass him making gurgling noises as it does. S breathes a sigh of relief but he begins coughing.
He covers his mouth trying to stop the noises, oil leaking out of S's fingers. He finds a door and steps into a bathroom. He quickly gets to a sink and throws up oil. He groans to himself not feeling so well. As he washes the oil down he looks up at his reflection startled at what he sees.
It's him...sort of.
The reflection is taller than him with a wide grin with sharp teeth. The visor displays a large yellow X. S's hard hat, now replaced with yellow bulbs over his forehead. Giant metal wings are visible from his back and a syringe tail is also visible. S walks back startled while the reflection follows suit. He slowly approaches the reflection reaching a hand towards the mirror, only for the reflection's hand to reach through the mirror, grabbing S's throat. S is lifted into the air, the reflection giggling to itself. S is losing air as he feels his throat tighten. Eventually, the reflection launches S's head forward into the mirror, breaking it. S falls to the ground in a curled position coughing up more and more oil.
