This is not an important chapter and you can skip it. It's just some small information in it.

Y/n pov

I quickly held a taxi and told them to take me to the New York public library for performing arts. When I got there I ran in to see if there were any computers to help me understand. I found one and searched up the song. Father mentioned symbolism so there must be a clue somewhere in this stupid song.

I opened and made a Google doc to help my thoughts organize all of this much better. Let's start with the first line.

"The evil it spread like a fever ahead."

I tried to search about the line but it only gave me the song again. I could assume that it means something evil is coming in the future and instead of a literal fever It could mean a fire or love.

That's when I thought of ahk for a moment. I quickly shook my head. I need to keep focused. Something is coming.

"It was night when you died, my firefly.
What could I have said to raise you from the dead?"

They died but to bring back to life is it mentioning the tablet.

I skipped oh could I be the sky on the Fourth of July and we're all going to die it repeats a lot. I can work on that later.

"Well you do enough talk. My little hawk, why do you cry? Tell me what did you learn from the Tillamook burn?"

That's iolani he's mentioning. Her name in Hawaiian meant to soar like the hawk. I searched up about the tillamook burn and it happened in Oregon. It was catastrophic in everyone's memory said the author of the article I was reading.

Iolani was not there for that so what does it mean by learning from it?

"Sitting at the bed with the halo at your head
Was it all a disguise, like Junior High
Where everything was fiction, future, and prediction."

I think that's mom. She changed a lot when they died. Mom and Dad also met in junior high when they we're planning for the future. Kind of like writing fiction.

"Now, where am I? My fading supply."

Could that be Dad's feelings? I'll just move to the next line.

"Did you get enough love, my little dove. Why do you cry?"

Now that's Jonah. His name meant dove in hebrew. If I remember right.

"And I'm sorry I left, but it was for the best. Though it never felt right. My little Versailles."

Now it's mentioning when he left me and Mom. I don't care if those are his feelings. He left home. That must be what Versailles means home.

"The hospital asked should the body be cast.
Before I say goodbye, my star in the sky. Such a funny thought to wrap you up in cloth. Do you find it all right, my dragonfly?"

This is confusing was my first thoughts until I read wrap you up in cloth. That's ahk he's mentioning know. Star in the sky?

I think that ahks father says he's the decentant of the sun god rah. In many kingdoms they made the king symbolize the Sun. The queen the moon and the children as stars.

Does my father know ahk? That's absurd he's been dead for 4,000 or more years. They can't know each other right?

"This is getting more confusing," I whispered to myself.

I then looked at the next line. "Shall we look at the moon, my little loon. Why do you cry? Make the most of your life, while it is rife. While it is light."

I know this one mentions me because I'm little loon. Does look at the moon mean possibly being queen of Egypt? Rife means common occurrence. So is it trying to say. Make the most of my normal life while there is still life.

It then mentioned my sisters line again. With the repeating of 4th of July and we're all going to die. Couldn't my father just leave the symbolism in the scriptures and not in real life. With how most of this song works out for my understanding. Did he do this on purpose?

My phone suddenly began to ring. That's weird It's usually on silent.
