Y/n pov

"I-- um. I was hiding. Not from you though." I said.

"Well that's a relief I was worried for a minute," he said.

He walked up closer to me making me nervous. Thankfully the monkey jumped from me to him. Making me distracted.

"I see you've meet Dexter," he said.

"So that's his name Dexter," I said.

"Yes he can be troublesome at times but overall pretty sweet."

I reached my hand out to Dexter and he grabbed on tightly. I looked at Ahkmenrah and blushed when I looked away. Looking at Dexter he grinned suddenly pulling my hand with him. I don't want to fall.

Ahkmenrah pov

Dexter pulled on her hand making us both fall. I wrapped her in my arms. Landing on the floor hurt but I wanted to check on y/n. When I opened my eyes she was on top of me. Looking as still as I first met her.

She slowly opened her eyes and looked at me for a second. Though she was confused and her hair was falling over her to one side. She looked wonderful as if she was a dream. She then got off me.

"Dexter come back here! You're gonna pay!" She yelled.

After she left I sat up and started laughing. Poor Dexter. He might not survive this night.

Y/n pov

That situation was embarrassing. First I ran away from him. Then I lied to him about running away. Finally when I thought everything was ok. Dexter made me topple over on top of him. He was so hot. I could feel my face starting to turn red when I looked into his wonderful eyes.

He also didn't seem to realize his crown fell off his head. Showing his think brown hair. It looked good on him. I stopped running and looked down at my hand. I really wanted to comb my fingers through his hair though.

"Y/n is that you," asked Larry.

"Larry have you seen Dexter," I asked.

"What has he done now?"

"Um.. he.. did a little prank. I want to pay him back with a prank of my own."

"I wouldn't mind helping you next time. The sun is coming up."

It really is about to rise. Larry and Tilly started to put everyone back in their spots. I didn't know what to do so I walked over to the Egyptian exhibit. To see the tablet that is diciding ahkmenrah's and my life feels weird. Sorta intimidating.

"Y/n."

I turned around to see ahkmenrah for the first time I'm not scared to face him. I'm really glad he's here.

Ahkmenrah pov

I saw her standing in my exhibit looking at the tablet. I never got an answer of how she felt about this situation. I want to know her thoughts but I'm scared of what she'll say. I just need to be brave and ask like Teddy said.

"Y/n."

She turned around and looked at me. I think I'm the one whose scared now. I walk to her and got the courage I wanted.

I asked, "How do you feel about all of this."

She looked at me for a moment and back to the tablet.

"I don't want to marry you. I barely even know you and I haven't even graduated from highschool. I want to say it's nothing but it is important to me. Until then I hope we can be friends."

I looked at her in surprise I thought she would say she never wanted to come back. I very quickly said, "I would like that very much."

"Good morning ahkmenrah."

She turned around to leave but I grabbed her hand. I didn't want her to leave me yet but the suns rising.

"Call me ahk. We are friends now right?"

"Yes we are ahk."

I then let her go and got ready for morning. I can't wait to see her again.

Y/n pov

When the sun rose up into the sky. I knew it was time for me to go home. Even though I didn't want to go back home. I waved sadly at the museum as a form of good bye for now.

When I came home Mom was on the couch covered in tears. It was a hard sight to see once again. I put a blanket over her and went to bed.
