" A WHAT IS WHAT?!"

The seven of you gathered together near a bench to discuss what Emma's classmate needed help with. The group, except Emma, were shocked at what she said her classmate needed help with.

Baji, who calmed down after the initial shock, looked at you and sighed.

"Are we really going to the kids' house and catch the pig that escaped their pen? Like seriously?"

You, too, were surprised by the request pf help from Emma's classmate. You were expecting help from a bully, a lost wallet, or even help with homework. Looking for an escaped pig was the last thing on your mind.

"Well..."

Norman started off, already racking a plan on how to catch the pig and what things you guys would bring to catch it.

"Wait, wait, how did it escape in the first place?"

Baji asked with a deadpanned expression. It's his first day hanging out with you guys, and he gets to do so by catching a damned pig.

"Bennett is... well... uh... he's like this and..."

Emma made some exaggerated gestures while she tried to find ways to describe her classmate in a non-offending manner.

"So yeah... and he is actually really nice, and he usually wouldn't ask for help, but he has makeup classes with our math teacher this afternoon because he ended up skipping it today after he accidentally set a whole table on fire as soon as he heard a pig escaped its pen... and he really needs help ASAP."

"How did he know the pig escaped its pen if he was at school?"

"One of his dads called him to catch the pig when he gets home later because they're leaving for a business trip."

You looked like you felt the whole world on top of your shoulders from Emma's explanation, all lightheaded and dizzy. You felt yourself leaning back, ready to fall to the ground, but Hyakkimarru wouldn't let that happen as he held you close.

"I didn't get what you were trying to say, but okay!"

Dororo said cheerfully as she pretended that she understood the situation. She then turned to look at you, her eyes glistening, obvious excitement are in them. She hops around you.

"Are we going, boss? Can we go? We can go, right?"

From Hyakkimarru's hold, you simply smiled at her and gave her a nod.

"Of course, we'll always give folks a helping hand!"

You raised your hand to give her a high-five, which she gladly did. Dororo cheered loudly, excited to help others once again and seeing her boss being kind to others.

Getting out of Hyakkimarru's hold, you stood straight on your feet. Unbeknownst to you, Hyakkimarru looked at his hands where he held you. They felt warm, you felt warm. He felt himself flush at the thought of holding you close again.

"Now Emma, lead the way"

*TIMESKIP*

Crunching sounds of leaves and pebbles can be heard as you started to walk to where Emma's classmate lives. Exhausted panting can be heard from you, while the rest are walking just fine.

"Why didn't you tell us it was an hour away from where we were..."

You let out a small grumble because when you mentioned to Emma lead the way, you didn't think she actually led you all by walking to the place where to catch the pig.

"Well, none of us own anything to drive, and you also needed that much exercise Y/n-san."

Norman said as he smiled at you. You let out a quiet sob while carrying Dororo on your back as you didn't want her to tire herself out while catching the pig on the loose.

Baji clears his throat when he hears Norman say none of you guys own anything to drive when he knows very well himself that his motorcycle is parked somewhere. He awkwardly shifts his eyes towards Ray, who was already staring at Baji.

"..."

"..."

Before Baji could shift his attention away from Ray, Ray speaks whispered towards him.

"Don't worry, we like seeing Y/n-san suffer, so I'll let you off the hook and keep your motorcycle a secret."

He smirked at Baji before walking ahead of him. Baji didn't get to register what Ray said until a few it dawned on him. Ray knew. He hurriedly jogged towards Ray and asked him in a whisper

"How d'ya know?"

"Saw you on the streets a few weeks ago, riding the motorcycle. You stood out because of the jacket you were wearing, so that kinda made you unforgettable. Didn't expect you to meet you and join our squad, though."

Ray gave Baji a shrug and continued to walk.

Baji then thought to himself,'He saw me in a jacket? Damn.'

He just continued walking towards the group, who were already a few steps away from him.

You turned your head towards Baji, who you noticed is a few steps behind your group.

"Hey Baji! Come on!"

He looked towards you and nodded, Ray's words still heavy on his mind.

'Am I fucked?'
