Chapter 1: Burn

I walked through the door with my friends. There I met Haerin's deep gaze at me. I glared at her immediately and then walked closer to her.

"I can't help but notice your eyes go dark whenever we meet each other."

"My vision gets dark whenever you appear." She retorted.

"Pfftt" I scoffed and then took my seat.

"All right everyone, we'll be doing an experiment today and this wheel will pick your partner." Professor Lee started.

"Okay, you're up, Kim Minji."

I sure do hope that I won't be partners with Kang.

I spun the wheel anddddd...

FUCK!

The arrow landed on Kang...

"I think I'd go solo for now, professor."

"Are you sure? I mean I know you're capable of doing things on your own, but don't you wanna build some friendship with Haerin?"

Friendship my ass.

"Mmm, I'm good thanks."

"Okay then, Minji won't have a part-

Before our professor finish his sentence, he was cut off by Kang.

"No. The wheel decided for her to be partners with me. It's only fair for everyone, besides two including her will have no partner and the other one may need some help."

"You mean YOU will have no partner and YOU may need some help from ME." I turned to her with a smirk forming on my lips.

"T-that's not what I meant."

"Yeah? Why stutter all of a sudden?"

"Just get on with it! Fuck!" She stood up and hit the table then went to sit back down again.

I just stood there a bit surprised from her actions. This is the first time we've seen her act like that.

"Language! Chill Kang, if you like me to be your partner, then just say so! I won't escape from you this time."

I teased her and gave her a wink before going back to my chair.

We enjoy teasing each other, I get to tease her more though tsk.

After all finished spinning the wheel, their professor led them to the laboratory.

"Everyone, put your lab coats on and sit with your partners."

The students did as they were told and waited for the professor's next instruction.

"Today, you'll be playing with fire."

"Sounds cool! Do we get to burn the school too???" The students laughed.

"Definitely not. Anyway, there are butanes, dishwashing liquids, alcohol, lighter, water, and containers for you to use. You could get some extra water right there in case you do something stupid." Their professor added.

"Everyone good?" The students nodded and they proceeded to start the experiment.

"Alright so first, put some water on the container then add the dishwashing liquid and alcohol, then mix them together."

"Let's do it." Haerin turned to Minji and then grabbed the alcohol while Minji nodded and took the dishwashing liquid and poured it right into the container.
