“than why are you here kat?”

“wow your speaking to me”

“answer my question and i might speak more”

“nan gave me an invite to my nephews baptism, which i think was an idea from your side of the family, luke, because our side doesn't have a religious bone in our body. by the way, can i meet them?”

“yeah let me just go get them” luke and i stood up and we walked into the boys room. as we walked in luke shut the door behind him. “so do you have any other siblings i should know about?”

“no luke. can we talk about this later please.”

“ok fine” we picked up one boy each and waked back out to the lounge room. she gasped as we put them on the floor. she sat down next to them and put her hands over her mouth. “wow they are amazing. they are fucking beautiful” for the rest of the day and the night we talked about her life and about mine. she was surprised i had kids so young and i found out this whole time my nan was in contact with her and that she came only for the baptism. she said she was staying at a friends place and she asked if she could bring her to the church. after she left i put the twins to sleep and laid in bed with luke. i put my head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around me. “so tell me about your sister”

“well she hated school and she left when she was 9. she did call or make any contact with any family member for 10 years. i remember we had the best relationship and when she left i was like really confused but it brought me and jas closer. and after a few years, when i got older i just accepted that she wasn't coming back.”

“were you alright seeing her today?”

“just really really surprised because for so long i convinced my self she wasn't coming back and than she just turns up.”

“yeah. Oh and before i forget where going to move back with my brothers”

“WHAT?”
