𝔸𝕊 Annabelle left the room and faced Don, she removed her mask. Don spoke urgently, "Someone stole my rifle." Annabelle looked at him, processing the information quickly. "Frank is Valdez," she stated. Don's eyes widened in surprise. "What?" he asked, confusion clear in his voice. "He told Gabriel," Annabelle explained, her tone urgent and serious. Don looked puzzled. "Frank wanted to leave. That doesn't make any sense."

Annabelle shook her head, frustration evident in her expression. "Nothing about this makes sense. Maybe he acted like he wanted to leave."

She rubbed her temples, trying to piece together the puzzle, while Don processed the revelation. "If he's Valdez and Lazaar's his boss, then why kidnap his kid?" Don asked, still trying to make sense of the situation. Annabelle shook her head again. "Maybe he and Lambert are planning a power play."

Don looked skeptical. "That skinny motherfucker rips people apart?"

"I don't know," Annabelle replied, her voice tinged with doubt. "People can have motives, but... something doesn't add up." She glanced at the closed door to the room where Gabriel was, a gnawing feeling in her stomach. Don stepped closer, making her feel slightly uncomfortable. "Aside from Frank, these guys are amateurs. You're Army, right?"

Annabelle took a step back, maintaining her composure. "Medic."

Don nodded, formulating a plan. "We can take 'em. If it's Frank, he'll know how to get out. Which means so would I if I spend about six minutes with him. You take the other two. Take the main staircase while I go south. We meet in the middle. We're gonna get through this." Annabelle nodded, her grip tightening on her gun. As they started to separate, a shattering sound echoed through the hallway. Annabelle turned around, her heart pounding, and saw Don standing still, twitching slightly.

"Rickles?" Annabelle called out, moving towards him cautiously. He was making soft gagging sounds, and the lamp nearby flickered ominously. As she approached, she saw a horrific sight: a chunk of his neck was missing, and part of his cheek was torn off as if an animal had mauled him.

Annabelle's breath caught in her throat, horrified. Don's body suddenly fell forward, collapsing onto her and smearing her with blood. She quickly laid him down on the ground, her mind reeling from the shock and horror of what she had just witnessed.

Annabelle walked down the stairs with her gun raised, her body tense and ready. Sammy turned around, eyes widening in shock as she saw Annabelle covered in blood. Instinctively, Sammy raised her hands in surrender. "God, what the fuck?"
