Yusho was very annoyed when his sons arrived home from school the next day. He had an uncharacteristic glare as he stared at a message on his phone.

"What's wrong, Father?" Yuri asked, tilting his head. He was the only one of the Yuus to call their parents Mother and Father. His brothers all called them Mom and Dad.

Yusho jumped, having not noticed his boys enter the house. He quickly cleared the glare off his face and smiled. "Oh, nothing's wrong, don't worry!" he said.

Yuto frowned. "Something's clearly wrong," he said. "You were glaring at your phone like it insulted you or something."

"Maybe you should tell them," Yoko said from the kitchen. "They'll find out sooner or later."

Yusho sighed and said, "Remember how I told you boys about my side of the family, and how I cut contact with them because of how they treated Yuya?" His boys all nodded and Yusho sighed again. "Well, they apparently found out we adopted you three, and are demanding to meet you."

Yuya flinched visibly, and his brothers immediately hugged him. Yuto kissed the top of his head. "We won't let any of Dad's family hurt you, Yuya," he reassured the tomato. "Promise!"

"This is the side of the family that allowed a near adult to physically abuse a LITERAL TODDLER, right?" Yugo asked, fuming furiously. Yusho nodded.

"I honestly want to meet them," Yuri admitted. "If only to punish them. I'm assuming the parents wouldn't let you discipline their children, right? Otherwise you would certainly have punished them for abusing Yuya!"

"Oh, most definitely," Yusho agreed. "But no, my family wouldn't allow me to discipline their kids. They would always get mad at me for parenting their children."

"So then if we, say, gave a few of our cousins some black eyes, their parents really couldn't do anything about it without exposing themselves as hypocrites, riiiiiight?~" Yuri said with a grin.

Yusho considered the idea. "Well, I suppose I could make them sign some legal documents forbidding them from punishing you before we visited them, if we visited them," he mused. "But I don't want to subject Yuya to any trauma that might be triggered from seeing them."

"I'll be okay, as long as Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo are with me," Yuya said. "There's safety in numbers. And they're all probably a lot better in a physical fight than I am, anyway."

"If the way you threw that punch at Reiji is indication, then yeah we definitely are," Yuto said, ruffling Yuya's tomato fluff.

"Yeah, we'll protect you!" Yugo promised.
