Sitting down behind the tree all they could see was the field that was used for the baseball team, and the running track that was used during P.E and track/field. There was a slight wind but it wasn't cold, it was weirdly warm considering it was March.

Kageyama was content with himself and decided to open up to Shoyo a little bit. "I come to sit back here when I'm feeling lonely, the ambiance helps make me feel better." He didn't want pity or to be looked down on, he just wanted someone to understand why he was the way that he was.

"This scene does make you feel full of light and ambition huh. Something another person couldn't make you feel even if they tried." Kageyama was surprised by his response, he thought he was going to make fun of him for being a loner but he was the opposite.

Shoyo turned to him opening up his arms for a hug. "Can I give you a hug?" His words were soft and delicate something you couldn't say no too. "Yeah, go ahead." Kageyama opened his arms Shoyo taking up the occupancy of them. The hug wasn't awkward in the slightest, just warm and something he needed.

"Can we be friends Kageyama?" He asked quietly as to not ruin the mood. Kageyama didn't know what to do, why did he want to be friends with him? He was someone who hated other people, or so he thought. Just this hug alone was making him think differently about that opinion. He didn't say anything just hugging Shoyo tighter.

They forgot all about their lunch, hugging until the bell rang. Kageyama was reluctant to let go but did it anyways. "Thank you for that, I really needed it." Kageyama didn't even hug his family so besides the time they hugged before he hadn't hugged anyone in a while.

"Anytime you need one I'll be right here!" Shoyo had a big smile on his face, Kageyama kind of found it cute? No not cute. He found it Adorable! "I have to get going now but I'll see you around." Shoyo said as he walked off in the opposite direction, Kageyama just waved and went to class.

After that incident things didn't really seem to change, why was he like that? He said he would be there when I needed him the most but barely interacts with me unless we're alone. Ugh! Why does this kid get on my nerves so much? He's not even that significant to me.

Kageyama was headed to the back of the school once again to eat his lunch in silence to think about thing's. As he was walking to his usual seat he saw orange hair. Why was he here? We didn't say we would eat lunch together today.

"What are you doing? That's my seat." Kageyama was a little mad by the way Shoyo was acting, one minute he was all friendly the next he didn't interact with him. Pick a side kid, do you hate me or not. "Oh sorry I'll scoot over." Shoyo was oblivious to the taller boys thoughts just acting how he always would.

Kageyama sat down in a huff, wanting to eat his lunch alone today. "I knew I would find you here." Shoyo was still smiling as bright as he normally does. "Don't you have other friends you can eat with." Kageyama was being cold again, Shoyo didn't know what he did wrong.

"Yeah? But I wanted to eat with you today!" Shoyo was confused but brushed off his weird behavior. "All I'm saying is you would rather hang out with other people right?" Was Kageyama being jealous? No that can't be right? Why did he feel this way about some kid he saved on a whim?

Shoyo didn't say anything sitting in silence for the rest of lunch. It was like the first time he had met him, quiet and didn't want to get in the way of anything. The bell soon rang and they both went back to class without saying a word more to each other.

Did Kageyama mess this up? Shoyo was the only person that actually took interest in what he was doing, just not to Kageyama's liking. Was he just touched starved? So many thoughts he didn't know the answers too.
