Sir Edward knew how to solve a case like this, so he first went to question the servant. On the way, he was talking to his junior. The junior asked, "Adding poison to Will's juice would not give the servant any profit, so why would he even do it?"

Sir Edward replied, "A servant cannot take such a big step on his own. Someone else must have paid him to add the poison."

When they reached the servant's quarters, Sir Edward commanded the junior to stay outside and not let anyone in. Sir Edward started questioning John Smith, the servant. He began provoking John, and when John was about to reveal the name of the culprit, the main power was cut off. Sir Edward heard a gunshot fired in the room. Without delay, he understood that John had been killed.
