*beep* *beep* *beep*

My phone was going off, and I knew it couldn't be my boyfriend Josh, because he said he was going to bed and hour ago.

I unlocked my phone and opened it to find a text message from an unrecognized number.

Unknown:
I know what you did. Maybe your secret isn't as safe as you thought Melody.

Me:
Who is this?

Unknown:
If I told you it would ruin the fun my dear.

Melody:
Fun? I'm not much into all of that, but if you really knew me, then you would understand. So cut the shit and tell me.

Unknown:

Silly Melody, I make the rules in this game. Do what I say from now on, and your secret will be safe. Got it?

Me:
We will see about that.

Unknown:
You'll agree, or I leak your secret to Josh. You have until tomorrow, 8:00pm, to give me your answer. Talk to you then.

My heart was racing, and my head was spinning. I'd been with josh for three years I couldn't let anything or anyone ruin that.

What would they have me do? Who were they?

I have to call Josh.

Josh POV

*buzz* *buzz*

I flipped on the lamp next to bed, and grabbed my phone. Why is Melody calling me at 12:00am?

"Hello, Melody?"

"Hey babe"

"Are you okay? Baby it's midnight."

"I just miss you that's all"

"Why don't you come over, and we can both go to sleep?"

"I'd like that a lot babe. I'll be over in 10"

We hung up, and I rolled out of bed to unlock the front door so she could get in. Knowing my Melody she'd probably forget the spare I'd given her.

Melody and I had been together since Junior year. Now we're adults, but nothing has changed about her except her age. She's still really forgetful, but none the less I still love her.

Melody POV

It started raining on the way over to Josh's house. He only lives 6 or 7 minutes away from my apartment, which is good considering nights like these.

The porch lights were on when I pulled into the drive. He must have unlocked the door for me. Good, I forgot me keys during my mad dash out to my car.

As soon as I got into his house I hung my jacket up, and started down the hallway towards his room.

The comforter was is a heap on the bed, and Josh wasn't in his room. I started to freak for a second till I heard the toilet. I was so paranoid for no reason. This person wasn't for real, it was all a prank.

I felt big, warm arms sneak around my waist and pick me up. It was Josh.

He kissed my neck, and laid me on the bed.

"I should've asked you to spend the night in the first place. I'm sorry baby," Josh's voice was still groggy with sleep.

"Don't be sorry, I'm here now." I pecked his lips, and grabbed the comforter from the middle of the bed.

I fell asleep in his strong arms, I've never felt safer.
