Josh POV

I hadn't Melody in three months, until of course she walked into the coffee shop.

I don't think she noticed me when Garrett, our manager, was taking her order.

"Hey Mel. How have you been?"

"Josh?"

"Yeah it's me," I laughed a bit.

She looked beautiful, she always did. It looked like she'd cut her hair a little bit, but I couldn't really tell because it was in a messy bun.

"I've been better that's for sure," her eyes made contact with the floor.

"I'm going to make your soy latte with caramel, and then we're going to have a chat."

"Oh. Okay."

She took a seat at one of the small tables lining the window.

"Here you go," I said setting her coffee on the table in front of her.

"So what exactly do we need to talk about Josh?"

"I just want to see how your doing, and all that good stuff."

"Josh, I can't do this," She started to get up and leave."

I gently put my hand on hers,"Please don't go Mel."

"This is exactly why I need to," she jerked her hand out from under mine.

"Melody, just talk to me, would it help if I said I missed you?"

I watch her slowly reclaim her seat with tears in her eyes.

"Josh, my life is hell without you. I tried to move on, and that brought me more heartbreak. I live with Kevin for the love of God."

"You live with Kevin? When did this happen?"

"Last night. I hate it."

"Mel can we have lunch today?"

"Why?"

"To finish talking, because my next shift starts in two minutes."

"I'd like that, yes."

I watched her walk out, and leave. I hope she shows up, I really do.

Melody POV

Kevin walked in on my throwing the clothes I'd just folded last night around the room.

"Um, what in the hell are the doing?"

"I'm having lunch with Josh in 20 minutes, and I don't know what to wear."

"Wish I could help, but that not exactly my forte," He walked out of the room probably going to watch tv.

After five more minutes I decided on a Nirvana shirt, and vans.

"Melody, I think Josh is here."

I walked out of the room to answered the door.

"I didn't know you were picking me up?"

"Relax Mel, I just wanted to make sure you wouldn't bail on me," he laughed and walked inside.

"Well I guess you're smart, because I was planning on just that," I place both hands on me hips, I was being sassy and didn't even mean too.

"Oh whatever you were in there stressing on what to were for a good ten minutes!" Thank you Kevin.

I went to backhand him, and right before I made contact I came off the ground. Familiar strong arms held me up.

"Put me down, now Josh!" I wasn't going to hurt him." I turned my head in the direction Kevin was in, only to see him leaving the room.

"Calm down Mel. You still have feelings for me. Don't be embarrassed by it, I still have feelings for you too," He smiled, and it made me weak.

I leaned in to peck his cheek, but he turned his head. I was okay with a peck on the lips, but it ended in a full make out session on Kevin's couch.

I broke away,"What about lunch Josh?"

"Let's just go to my place and order Chinese instead?"

We both got up and headed for Josh's car.
