BOARD MEETING

Li Xiaoyun is in the conference room discussing with the board of directors and her colleagues about Li Wei whom Meixiu was asking about.
"The boy is just twelve years,that sort of surgery shouldn't be performed on him"said Xiaoyun.
"It can be performed on him and it's one of the most effective way to cure the child"said Dr. Huang John,another brilliant doctor.
"Dr. John,I know it's one of the most effective way but it's dangerous"said Xiaoyun.
"What do you mean dangerous Dr. Li"asked a member of the board of directors.
"His chance of death to living is 80-20"replied Xiaoyun.
"Dr. John,you do know that we always look at the most effective and SAFE solution,right?!"asked another member of the board of directors while almost yelling in the process and stressing the word 'safe'.
"I'm sorry,sir. I'll assure you that mistake wouldn't repeat itself,sir"said John as he was embarrassed.
"Apology accepted,but,let me warn you that if you do that to again,you'll be sure to loose your job here. The health of the patient comes first, John"said another member of the board of directors.
"Okay,I understand you sir"said John with an understanding nod.
"This meeting is adjourned,we would be meeting I'm three days time. As of now Dr. Xiaoyun,I would like you to do more research on a suitable cure for the patient and get a stronger drug that can suppress the pain the patient is feeling"said another member of the board of directors.
"Sure thing, director"said Xiaoyun with a smile. "Good, we'll see later, everyone"said another member of the board of directors.
As Xiaoyun was going out she was suddenly stopped by one of her colleagues. "That was awesome,what you did in there, Xiaoyun"said Liang Wei. "What do you mean"asked Xiaoyun with a smile. "No one has ever been able to put John in his place"said Liang Wei.
"I just freaking hate that dude,he's supposed to be in an asylum"said Xiaoyun. "We're in the same side"said Wei. "Thinking about him gives me headache"said Xiaoyun. "Just forget about him,Xiao"said Wei.
"Okay,I'll be off to see Li Wei,the child we were talking about in the room"said Xiaoyun. "Okay,I'll tag along"said Liang Wei. "Okay"said Xiaoyun while going to his room.
"As they entered Li Wei's room,they were greeted by a beautiful smile plastered on Li Wei's handsome face and natural lighting from Li Wei's window. "Li Wei,how are you doing"asked Xiaoyun. "A little better"replied Li Wei in an almost inaudible voice.
"I brought you some drugs"said Xiaoyun."Thanks,big sister Xiao"said Li Wei in a low voice. "You're welcome"said Xiaoyun.
"Who's the guy"asked Li Wei. "Oh, he's a friend of mine"replied Xiaoyun. "I'm Dr. Liang Wei." "Li Wei"
After using his drugs,Li Wei asks Xiaoyun a question. "Big Sister Xiao, where's big sister Meixiu"asked little Wei. "She's supposed to be here, maybe she's meeting with someone"said Xiaoyun.
"Meixiu is coming here?!"asked Liang Wei who was asking for confirmation. "You're big sis fan?!"asked little Wei. "Big fan"replied Wei."Me too"said little Wei.
Someone suddenly calls Liang Wei's name. "Dr. Wei,can you spare a moment for me "asked Dr. Xie Jian. "Sure Dr. Xie"replied Wei as he stepped out of the room. "The other doctors and I have decided to allow Dr. Li to take the lead on Li Wei's case"said Dr. Xie. "That sounds good,cos it seems like she knows a lot on the child's disease"said Wei while casually putting his hand in his pocket in a fashionable way.
"Big Sis Xiao,give me details on that doctor Wei,he seems to like you,tell me everything"demanded Li Wei in an inaudible voice.
"Since when did boys become gossipers and how'd you know he likes me"asked Xiaoyun while making herself comfortable on a chair near Li Wei's bed.
"Big Sis, it's very obvious he likes you and aren't things like that called mutation of genes in science"said Li Wei referring to the gossipers talk.
Abruptly, someone enters the ward emitting the fragrance of rose and holding paper bags containing food.
"Hey guys"said Meixiu. "Meixiu! What took you so long?"asked Xiaoyun. "I was grabbing food"replied Meixiu while lifting up the paper bags as proof. "Li Wei, how's your body now"asked Meixiu with genuine concern.
"I'm feeling better after taking the drugs big sis Xiao brought for me"replied Li Wei. "Thank goodness"said Meixiu while handing them the paper bags and making herself comfortable on another.,¿ chair.
"Wasn't that Meixiu who just passed by"asked Dr. Xie. "Damn,she is hot"said Wei.
"She's here to see Li Wei?!"asked Dr. Xie in shock after seeing Meixiu enter the room. "Yeah"replied Wei. "So, that's why he was placed in a VIP ward"said Dr. Xie. "Yeah"
"She's pretty but not as pretty as our goddess Dr. Li"said Dr Xie. "Definitely"said Wei. "Oh,do you know they're best friends"said Wei. "How'd you even hear that?"asked Dr. Xie in a disbelieving tone. "I saw them shopping together and I asked Xiaoyun about it"replied Wei. "I'll see you later then"said Dr. Xie.
Liang Wei enters the ward with a deep breath. Meixiu looks at the back to see Liang Wei closing the door, before quickly signalling to Xiaoyun and little Wei to ask about him. "It's big sis crush"said little Wei in a whisper. "No!"shouted Xiaoyun. "What"asked Liang Wei with a confused expression.
"I'm Meixiu, you're?" "I'm Liang Wei,nice to meet you?" "A pleasure to meet you too"said Meixiu also checking to see if her friend's crush is flawless. He saw her checking him out but she didn't plan to hide the fact,which makes his heart jump in joy for the fact that a world renowned music star is checking him out.
He may or may not have planned on asking her out later. Only time will tell.
