"Dad, please let me be free. I have the fucking right" said Meixiu. "If you use the word fucking while speaking to me, I'll disfigure your face" said Meixiu's dad, Mr Zhang Singtan, a wellbuilt man with a height of about 6 foot 2 (6'2) and a handsome face.
" Mum,what the heck is the meaning of this. If you want to disown me, I don't care. " Just. Let. Me. Be. Free" said Meixiu
" Meixiu, you need to understand, you're our only child, so please bear with us, alright?, pleaded Mrs Zhang Mian, a woman in her late forties with a pair of shining blue eyes and young body.
" Sweetheart, you don't have to beg her, it is her duty as our only child to take over the family's business and dominate the business world forever " said Mr Zhang
" Dad, music and business don't go together. Please just a minimum of 2-5 years and i'll take over the business world after making history in the music world" pleaded Meixiu.
" Daughter, we made a deal to give you freedom for a year and a year is over. So, I need you to take over our family business" said Zhang strictly.
" Dad, can we make another deal. If you can just give me five years I will quit music for life" said Meixiu.
" No, I'll give you five years and I will engage you to Gavriel Feng" said Mr Zhang Singtan
"Gavriel Feng!" said both mother and daughter at the same time. " Yes, Gavriel Feng. He has taken over the Feng family business and we also made a collaboration with each other which can only be possible if he marries you" said Mr Zhang Singtan
" Dad, Gavriel is a son of a fucking bitch. He just goes around bitching with different women everyday" said Meixiu.
" Singtan, can't you doing anything else to do? I don't want her marrying that boy" said Mrs Zhang Mian.
" Mian, we need the business collaboration to boost the company" said Mr Zhang.
" Dad, you are fucking using me to get a business deal, that is insane" said Zhang Meixiu with uncontrollable anger .
" Singtan, isn't the company always at the top, what more do you need the business deal for. We are victims of arranged marriage and you know how it feels for someone to make the biggest decision of your life" said Mian calmly.
" Mian, we fell in love, so can they" said Zhang Singtan
" You need to understand not every story is the same " said Zhang Mian sternly.
" Dad please" begged Meixiu with a sad expression.
" Alright, I'll give you a year to decide" said Zhang Singtan
"Thanks,dad" said Meixiu."I'll be right back" said Zhang Mian
As soon as she left, Meixiu also prepared to leave her dad alone."Dad, I'll be off too " said Meixiu."where'd you think you're going?" Asked Mr Zhang. "Upstairs, to my room".
"Do you know what beautiful plans I have for you, you generations don't look at the bigger picture's and Singtan
"You have an insane plan laid out waiting to be carried out which is not to going to happen" said Meixiu in firm voice.
"What is it with you? I'm asking you to do one thing out of the countless thing s I have done for you"shouted Singtan.
"What freaking thing have you done for me.you never even loved me, you only care about money, but, someone needs to teach you that money isn't everything". shouted Meixiu who was losing her composure.
"I always take time out of my hectic schedule to go out with you, no matter how incovenient it is for me "said Singtan.
"The only time you took me out was to meet a person who would train me to fight because of dire situations and it was on your day off" yelled Meixiu who was glaring at her father.
" That one time was very inconvenient for me. Other people don't get to see their father at all" said Singtan
" I prefer not to see you than to see you not carry out your fatherly duties" said Meixiu.
" Then why don't you kill me because you know you are not allowed to move out of this mansion" said Singtan.
" You think I haven't tried?! You know you are crazy not to think of it " said Meixiu with a bitter laugh.
" What have I done to you in my lifetime to deserve you trying to kill me" said Singtan who was pretending to be innocent.
" Zhang Singtan, what type of father doesn't know what his child wants and doesn't understand the emotions of his child. Have you ever checked on my results in school? I used to think you're just busy, I just realized that you never loved me. Why pretend in front of mum" asked Meixiu in a loud voice.
" Your mum is sick with ovarian cancer" revealed Singtan with a face full of pain.
" What?! How could she not tell me about it" said Meixiu.
" So, I need an answer before the ending of next year" said Singtan.
" Okay, but next time don't act so suspicious because you were nice to me today, I'll realize something was wrong" said Meixiu.
" Meixiu,I do love you but I don't know how to show it" said Singtan in a low voice which Meixiu could still hear.
