Neteyam 🎯

While wiping my hair with a towel, I see Lo'ak rushing toward the door to get inside. I thought about running after him until I almost died laughing at what Lo'ak said.

"Um... I need to shit." With that he ran off, leaving a confused and worried Tsireya on his tail. I shake my head and turn it to face the lounge chairs. To face him. Ao'nung. He had started reading his book again after putting it down earlier. I don't know what it is but the sight of him in glasses and shirtless is doing something to me.

I snapped out of my trance when he placed the book down and sat up. He stood up and walked towards me, eyes wondering downwards. That's when I noticed something. On his arms and across park of his chest was a large sleeve tattoo. It just made him 10x more attractive.

"Hey Neteyam." We're now facing face to face. My eyes still glued to his large muscular arms.

"Hey.." Without taking my eyes off, I greet him back. The tattoos made his arm pop even more. They made him stand out even more. I had to practically pry my eyes off his arm and onto his.

"I like your tattoos." I point to his arm. He looks at it and chuckles before looking back at me.

"Thanks." He gives me a small smile before taking his tank top off. His arms aren't the only thing I'll stare at today...

I again, had to pry my eyes off of his body and onto his face. That's when I noticed something I should've noticed first. Glasses. I didn't take Ao'nung for someone who was physically unable to see properly, but then again, there's a lot of things I don't take him for.

We don't say anything for a while before he walks toward the hot tub and turns to a stop.
"Wanna hop in the hot tub with me?" I simply nod and he reaches his hand out for me to grab, but I don't. I want to avoid feeling that same burning sensation I felt the last time we came in contact.

He doesn't try to press me on it and continues to walk beside me towards the hot tub. We both slowly sink in and the heat makes my tense muscles relaxed.

I tried staying a few feet away from him, in the case that we accidentally touch. But whenever I scoot away, it seems like Ao'nung scoots closer to me. Does he want to be near me? Or is the water moving him towards me?

I scoot away again until a bolt of pressure hits my back. It was that stupid place where water comes out of. I move back to my original spot and feel my hand graze over Ao'nung's arm. Well, not so much grazed. More like burned.

"Oh.. sorry." I pull away as quick as I could and try to hide the completely obvious amount of pink on my cheeks. I sat there, embarrassed while all he did was chuckle. Even thought I wasn't looking in his direction, I felt his eyes on me. When I turn to face him, his expression was... numb? It was like he didn't care if we touched.

His eyes pierced mine. Like he was trying to take a peek at my soul through them. Silence engulfed us; the only thing that could be heard was the movement in the water. I felt the heat in my cheeks rise again and began turning my face away from his until I felt the same burning sensation I felt a few minutes ago and a hand on mine.

"Neteyam.." He starts while I whip my head towards him and my eyes toward the direction of our touching hands, "Is there something wrong? You look uncomfortable." A hint of worry in his eyes makes me even more nervous then I already was.

I open my mouth to say something but the words get caught in my throat. I shake my head gently to answer his question and see him smile out of relief.
"Good, that's good." His smile grows as I feel one slowly creep up on my face. We sit in silence for a few minutes before I realize our hands were still touching.

My mind told my body to move, yet it didn't listen. I was lost in a battle between my mind and body when I hear Ao'nung's small chuckle. I turn my focus back to reality and noticed I was looking directly at him.

"Sorry..." I mumble, turning my gaze toward the warm water. My peripheral vision let's me see the little shake of Ao'nung's head.
"Nah, it's fine." He starts, "You're cute." .........what.

I bet if I looked up at him right now, he'd be able to see how bright red I look. So I keep my eyes on the water, head down. He just called me cute? Why? What do I do? What do I say?

I have to play it cool. Yeah.. Hmmm.

I remember seeing something in the romcoms I watch. The girl lead would giggle/chuckle and then thank the male lead for the compliment. Yeah, I'll do that. I slightly chuckle before lifting my head to face him.

"Thanks.." He's smile turns brighter and he nods. If he saw how red I was, he didn't mention it; Thankfully. Why am I even red in the first place. I'm not interested in him... right? No. I'm not. I'm not gay.

We're inches away from each other at this point. I take this chance to scoot away a bit from him. While moving away, our hands lose contact of each other and the burning sensation fades. I hear Ao'nung's breath, as if he just opened his mouth and was preparing to speak until the sound of a doorbell shot through the air.

Both of our heads shoot toward the door leading into the house. We look at each other again and back to the door. Was someone else supposed to be coming? I thought it was just us. Tsireya said that their parents would be out all day, so who could that be?

Ao'nung slowly rises, body facing the door. He turns his head down to me and holds out a hand for me to grab. I hesitate again, until I hear loud noises coming from inside. I take his hand as he pulls me up and we grab our towels, heading toward the door.

Ao'nung swings it open and we walk through, trying to find our siblings and see if they're safe. We walk through the kitchen, then the living room, and stop near the front door.
"Tsireya, what's going on?" Ao'nung questions as we slowly walk forward.

Our siblings were crowded over the door, blocking our view. When we got close enough, I could make out a body of someone. Lo'ak moves out of the way and I get a clear view. It's a guy. His long blond hair was tied up in a pony tail and his face held a smirk. Who the hell is this?

I turn as Ao'nung walks up next to me to see who it was. I look as his expression turns from confusion to annoyance. He sighs and slightly rolls his eyes before crossing his arms.

"What are you doing here, Miles?" My head snaps the name into place as I realize who this is. It's the KKK guy.
