Lo'ak🏀
My body froze in place when the realization hit me. It's her. It's really her. How is it really her?
"Lo'ak?" Neteyam's voice shot through my body like a bolt of lightening, shocking me out of the frozen state. I turn my head and attention back to the group and catch eyes with my brother. His eyes showed concern. I must've spaced out for a while. I run my eyes across the rest of the group.
Nat'Lyn and Na'Nung were off in their own world, arguing with their eyes while Tsireya, Roxto, and Kiri were having their own conversations. Ao'nung stood next to my brother also looking at me with confusion.
"Are you okay? You spaced out for a bit." Neteyam places the back of his hand on my forehead. If it really is Selina, I need to tell Neteyam. I eyes scan over the others again and I realized I couldn't. Not in front of them. I nod, mentally reminding myself to tell Neteyam at another time.
Neteyam removes his hand and sighs. I'm sure he doesn't believe me but if he wanted to press on it, he would've. He puts an arm around my shoulders and brings me closer to the rest of the group. They were telling each other their schedules and what not. I didn't bother paying attention to the conversation as my mind wondered around what I just saw.
It couldn't possibly be her....right? There's no way. Selina's supposed to be in Alaska. Why would she be here, in Hawaii? School must've started back home so this couldn't be a last minute vacation. Even so, why would she be at Honolulu High?
My brain brought up questions on top of questions about Selina. I tried coming up with possible explanations but none of them seemed right. Selina, what the hell are you doing here.
The one thing I was looking forward to moving to Hawaii was to get away from her. We parted in....let's just say things could be better. I hadn't thought about her since I met Tsireya and now all the memories of our past came crushing through my head.
No. My mind must be playing tricks with me. There is no way Selina Brown was at my new school. There's no wa-
"What are your classes, LoLo?" My eyes flick up and were met with a pair of ocean blue. Tisreya smiled and patiently waited for my response. Tsireya.... I should be focusing on Tsireya. I smiled back and pulled out the paper that contained my schedule. She does the same before we switch papers and review our classes together.
"Look LoLo! We have second, fourth, and fifth together!" I went back and forth from my paper and hers as she points out which classes we had together. Chemistry, English, and PE. I smile at the thought of having chemistry with her. Now I can say we have chemistry together without sounding cringe.
"Where's your first period class? I'll wait for you so we can walk to second together." I might as well try to be a gentleman and walk her to our class. That way I can rizz her up! I stare as she smiles so wide that her eyes disappeared. She tells me to pull out the paper with the map of the school and points to her class. As she points, loud shouts can be heard from behind us.
"Are you serious?! I cannot believe you Na'Nung!" Nat'Lyn yells and throws her hands up. They come back down and rests on her hips.
"You can't believe me?!" Na'Nung yells back with disbelif, "You are so fucking annoying, Natty!" Ao'nung's palm coming into contact with his forehead can be heard through the screams which gets a snort out of Roxto.
"Call me Natty one more time and watch what happens." Nat'lyn's hands fall from her hips as she walks closer to Na'Nung."What are you gonna do about it, Natty?" Na'Nung follows her actions and closes some of the remaining distance between them. He has a smirk on his face as he bends down slightly to meet her level.
