There came a day like no other where the music played loudly, the people cheered with such joy as the one who was going to be crowned the next king of Asgard made his way down the steps and raised his hands up into the air wanting to hear his peoples applause grow louder and louder; Thor Odinson had waited for this moment his entire life and now he was relishing in that moment with each passing second

Thor made it up to the steps of the throne where the All-Father and his closest friends and family stood by as Thor took off his helmet and knelt before his father as Odin slammed the mighty spear into the ground; the sound echoed throughout the throne room as all of the cheering immediately ceased at All-Father's command

Odin:Thor Odinson. My heir, my second born. So long in trusted with the mighty hammer; Mjölnir. Forged in the heart of a dying star, its power has no equal!

Mjölnir was laid down next to Thor as the uru hammer shined in all of its wonderful glory for even such a weapon had history rooted into asgardian culture

Odin:It's a weapon to destroy or as a tool to build. Tis' a fit companion for a king, I have defended Asgard at the lives of the innocent across the Nine Realms since the time of the great beginning...

Thor could see his friends and family smiling at him alas the second born of Asgard noticed that someone was missing; he had hoped to see him during the ceremony but it looked like he was not here for the special day

Odin:Do you swear to guard the Nine Realms?

Thor Odinson was more than ready to fulfill every duty as the next king and protector of the Nine Realms; you could just see that fire in his eyes

Thor:I swear..

Odin had hoped that his first born was going to be the one who had inherited the throne but he had other plans that didn't align with being king as the All-Father continued

Odin:Do you swear to preserve the peace?

Peace was absolute necessity for not one realm but all of them for the last thing that was needed was another war; wars always came at the heavy price of innocent lives and that wasn't something that anyone would certainly want

Thor:I swear!

Thor's sworn oath only grew louder and louder as the All-Father spoke for a final time preparing the oath to make Thor the king of Asgard
