Bags were under my eyes I haven't slept after watching Thaila leave the campus I knew if I closed my eyes flash backs will happen and I hated it. Why couldn't my dad took me too with Thaila? Why did I have to go through so much pain and suffering and now I'm living with his wife and he doesn't even visit me at all. I start sobbing quietly so I don't wake the others up I feel someone's hand on my shoulder. I look up and see Avery looking down on me with her signature grin. "Hey Sparky." She quietly says. "Hi." I managed to croak out, my throat feels dry and it burns every time I speak or swallow. She pulls me into a hug and I cry into her shoulder she frowns seeing scars and bruises all over my back and neck. It was at least four in the morning and no one was awake so Avery stayed longer until I went to shower. When I came back Avery was gone but there was a note left from her. I smiled to myself while reading it, she was going to visit more often. The others wake up slowly while I'm already out the door sitting on the steps listening to music. I hear footsteps approaching me and I look up, to see Piper sitting down next to me. "Hey Jason, did you sleep last night?" she says frowning. I shake my head in response and stare far ahead. "Look I've got something for you it's from Thaila." She says and softly places the package on my lap. I pull the ear plugs out and hum in response while putting the package in my bag. "You don't talk much do you?" She asks. "I don't really especially to people I don't know." I mumble. She hummed and looked where I was looking at. "Would you like to sit with the others at lunch I know Thaila isn't here right now?" She asks softly. I hesitate and shake my head. I hear her sigh.
