"I laugh a little harder,
cry a little less, and smile a lot more because of them."

🍃🌙🪞🪷✨📜Sitting in my cool chair, I debated making a phone call. Dad could tell me to leave Palampur anytime, so I was deep in thought. Thankfully, the date got pushed back, giving me extra time with mom.
"Let's make the call," I muttered, dialing a number.
"Let's catch up and have a drink together?" I said, squinting at the barking on the other side. They weren't fans of my club outfit ideas.
"Get your ass ready, 'cause if I don't see you there, you'll have a problem," I said, hanging up and tossing the phone on the glass table before getting back to my files and meetings.
I parked my car and stepped into the mansion, twirling my keys on my finger, then froze, surprised by what I saw.
"This is why he always comes home early from the office," I mumbled, seeing Ritesh hugging Seeta, flirting with her, pinching her cheeks, which annoyed her.
"Leave me, Ritesh," she said.
"Never," he replied.
"Yeah, leave my maa," I said, holding onto mom tight and shooting dad a look of disbelief.
"Bhajan gaane ke Umar mein romance mat karo aap!"
(At the age for singing devotional songs, don't indulge in romance!)
I said, pulling out an apple, smiling at dad's dropped jaw and mom's blush and giggle. She stopped when she noticed dad raising his eyebrows.
"I should sing bhajans or romance my wife. You don't speak between a husband and a wife," dad said, grabbing mom's arm, surprising her.
"This is why you left the office early," I said, grabbing mom's arm, startling her again.
"Now that you're the CEO, it's on you to take charge," dad said, pulling mom towards him again.
"Next time, I'll make sure you don't take off early from the office!" I said, pulling mom again. Her patience snapped, and she yanked her hand away, glaring at us.
"Nahi sudhroge aap dono," she stormed out angrily.
"Let my bahu come once, then I'll see you!" dad said.
"Situ," dad said, puppy-eyeing mom after scolding me, while I munched on apples without a care. I stepped out to freshen up before hitting the club, planning to rock a black leather jacket over a white t-shirt, blue ripped jeans, and timberland shoes
