Korn frowns as he reads the letter, he doesn't bother asking Kim if he had read it. He knows anything his youngest son would tell him would be a lie. Naturally Kim would not have turned the letter over without reading it first.

On the surface the letter seems to be from a relative of Tawan's speaking of trivial family matters. If an outsider read it, they would suspect nothing. However, it's not hard to pick out the meaning between the lines. The talk of a dispute between two young cousins is obviously a reference to the minor family. Then there is a line about a beloved family pet being bitten by a poisonous snake. That is without doubt a threat against Kinn.

The letter is signed simply TC.

"Don't tell anyone about this just yet." Korn tells him. Kim nods, he had expected this command from his father. He will however keep a close eye on Kinn and Tawan.

In the front hall he bumps into Vegas, who seems oddly distracted, not at all like his usual self. This prompts Kim to ask, "Is something wrong?"

Vegas stares at him blankly, the way he looks makes Kim shiver, for a minute he looks empty like a puppet whose strings have been cut. Then he seems to come around. "Don't play the concerned family member with me, cousin." He says before stalking off.

Kim stares after him in surprise. Kinn and Vegas have often argued but he himself has never had any issues with his cousins.

Modern Day

Porsche looks at his mate then back at the man. He isn't surprised he doesn't know who this is, but it's the strangled tone of Kinn's voice that has him concerned. "Kinn?"

Kinn looks around at the others then seems to come to a decision. He turns to Porsche and puts a hand on his cheek. "I never told you about my past."

Porsche frowns. He doesn't remember a lot from before the change but he trusts Kinn. If Kinn hadn't told him something, then there had probably been a good reason.

"There was a time when I was sure Tawan was my fated mate, the one I was meant to find." Porsche feels a shock wave go through him at these words. "I brought him home, protected him from my family, and gave him anything he wanted. In the end I almost died from my blind trust in this man."

"He tried to kill you?" Porsche's confusion is suddenly replaced with fury. He wants to go into the cell and rip Tawan to pieces.

"He almost succeeded too." Kinn answers. "After Tawan, I didn't trust anyone for a long time. Not until I met you and knew what having a fated mate truly meant."

"You must have questions; do you want to talk to him?" Phayu asks.

Porsche shifts uncomfortably, if this man tried to kill Kinn he must be powerful, "Isn't that dangerous? What if he attacks Kinn again."

"I have ordered him not to use his powers." Phayu says.

Rain grins at Porsche's astonished look. "My P'Phayu is so brilliant and strong. When he speaks everyone obeys."

"Except for you cute boy." Phayu tells him.

Rain pouts at this, "I do, I am a good boy."

Porsche holds back a laugh. He somehow doubts Phayu uses his power on his mate. It is certainly an interesting power. Regardless, "I'm going in with Kinn."

Phayu nods at this, "Rain and I will go in as well. Rain is an empath which means he can tell us if Tawan is lying by reading his emotions."

Rain adds, "When people are lying, their emotions are all over the place even if they are good at hiding it."
