An Unwanted Vow

Episode 14

RECAP:

"Okay... okay, don't cry. I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. Come, let's sleep," Vivanth said, caressing her hair gently. He lay down beside her, holding her close. They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other's arms, finding solace in each other's presence. The warmth and security of his embrace gradually soothed her, and they both drifted off to sleep, still hugging each other.

The next morning, Vivanth and Arushi were still sleeping, cuddled up together. A few minutes later, Arushi woke up and found her hand still clutching his t-shirt. She quickly let go of his shirt, feeling a bit embarrassed. Then she noticed the weight on her body: Vivanth's arm was wrapped around her waist, and his leg was draped over hers. Not wanting to disturb his sleep, she carefully and with much effort, removed his hand and leg from her body. Then, she quietly got up and went to freshen up.

A few minutes later, Arushi came out of the bathroom wearing a kurta set with her wet hair wrapped in a towel. She sat down at the dressing table and started her morning skincare routine. Vivanth came back from his workout, and without even glancing at her, went straight into the bathroom. Arushi noticed him heading inside. She picked up her phone from the table and called Aadhya.

**On Call**
Aadhya : Hello, baby. Is everything. alright? Why did you call so early

Arushi : No, nothing is right (said in a worried tone).

Aadhya : What happened, baby?

Arushi : I got that nightmare again.

Aadhya : What??

Arushi : Hmm... I shouted and panicked in the middle of the night and started crying.

Aadhya : Oh God! Again? Did Vivanth know?

Arushi : Yes, he woke up listening to my shouting. He tried a lot to comfort me and stop my crying. Later, I slowly fell asleep.

Aadhya : Thank God! At least he was beside you this time.

Arushi : Hmm, but Aadhya, I don't want him to know about my nightmares and problems. Not just him, but nobody in this house. I don't want to trouble anyone.

Aadhya : Okay, don't worry. Let's consult the doctor again.

Arushi : Okay... Bye.

Aadhya : Don't think too much or stress yourself. Bye.

**CALL ENDED**

Arushi ended the call and turned around, her eyes widening when she saw Vivanth looking at her with a confused expression. "Did he hear my conversation with Aadhya?" Arushi thought.

"What? You just went to freshen up. Why did you come back so soon?" Arushi asked hesitantly, trying to hide her worry.

"I forgot to grab my towel," Vivanth said, pointing to the towel draped over the couch. He walked over, picked it up, and went back into the bathroom without another word.

Arushi let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding, still shaken by the thought that Vivanth might have overheard her. She quickly composed herself and tried to focus on getting ready for the day.

Vivanth heard every word Arushi spoke to Aadhya. He realized that there was a serious issue and something troubling had happened in her past. This made him even more concerned and curious about what Arushi was going through.

A few minutes later, Vivanth entered the room with a towel around his waist and wet hair.

"Hey, can't you see I'm here in the room?" Arushi yelled, closing her eyes with her hand.
