As soon as they arrived back at the Rathore mansion, Arushi silently got out of the car and walked straight into their room, her footsteps heavy with the weight of her thoughts. Vivanth watched her go but didn't say a word, sensing that this was something she needed to process on her own.
Inside the room, Arushi shut the door behind her, locking herself away from the world. Her body felt tense, her mind swirling with emotions she didn't know how to control. She made her way to the bathroom, her hands shaking as she turned on the shower, letting the hot water falling down, hoping it would wash away the overwhelming feelings. But no matter how hot the water, it couldn't erase the memories that were now flooding her mind.
As the steam filled the room, so did the painful thoughts she had tried to bury for so long. Faces, voices, and events from her past started flashing before her eyes. The people who had hurt her, the situations that had shattered her confidence, all those moments that had made her doubt her worth—everything was resurfacing. Her heart felt heavy, her mind clouded with fear and insecurity. Tears welled up, spilling down her cheeks, mixing with the water from the shower.
She cried out loud, unable to hold it in any longer. The pain, the betrayal, the memories of those incidents were eating away at her peace, even though those people were no longer a part of her life. They still haunted her. Their words, their actions—they made her feel small, made her feel like no matter what she did, she would always be broken.
What if I tell Vivanth and he looks at me the same way they did? What if he treats me like I'm weak, like I'm damaged? Her mind raced with these thoughts, the fear of being vulnerable, of being judged.
"No," she whispered to herself, her voice breaking under the weight of her emotions. "I can't let that happen. I don't want to feel weak again. I can't fall apart. Not again..."
Her voice trembled as she spoke to herself, the tears now uncontrollable. "I have to be strong," she said softly, trying to convince herself. But deep down, the fear of losing Vivanth's love and respect if he knew her past was tearing her apart. I don't want to lose him. I don't want him to see me like this...
The water continued to pour over her, but it did little to soothe the storm inside her. She cried harder, her sobs echoing in the bathroom. The past held her in a tight grip, and she didn't know how to break free. All she knew was that she had to protect herself, even if it meant keeping Vivanth in the dark. She couldn't let him see her this way—she couldn't let him see her broken.
After what felt like an eternity under the hot water, Arushi finally stepped out of the shower. Her body was exhausted, her emotions drained. She wiped away the lingering tears and wrapped herself in a towel. But as she opened the bathroom door, she was startled to see Vivanth already in the room, dressed in his nightwear and sitting on the edge of the bed. His hand was pressed to his forehead, as if the weight of the day was heavy on him too.
