Arushi is now 4months pregnant stood in front of her clients, explaining each costume she had designed. She was talking with excitement, showing them every detail to match their needs. But suddenly, she felt a wave of dizziness. She tried to steady herself, gripping the edge of the table, hoping no one would notice. Her vision began to blur, and everything around her felt like it was fading.
Just as she was about to lose balance, a strong hand held her waist, steadying her. She opened her eyes a little, and there was Vivanth, his face full of concern.
"Arushi," he whispered, "I'm here."
Without waiting, he lifted her gently into his arms, holding her close as he carried her to her cabin. Her colleagues looked on, some worried, others admiring the care he showed. Vivanth moved carefully, his eyes always on her, making sure she felt safe and supported.
Inside her cabin, Vivanth carefully set Arushi down on the couch, kneeling beside her with a look that was equal parts worry and frustration. Gently, he brushed some stray hair from her face, then held a glass of water to her lips, his gaze unwavering.
After she took a few sips, he couldn't hold back anymore. "Arushi," he said, his tone tense, "how many times have I told you to take a break? Do you even listen to me?" His voice was stern, almost scolding, and Arushi lowered her gaze, already sensing his frustration.
"I was fine... I just...," she started to explain, but he didn't let her finish.
"Fine?" he scoffed. "You were so dizzy you nearly collapsed! Yet here you are, working like nothing's wrong. Do you have any idea how worried I am every time you push yourself like this?"
Arushi looked away, biting her lip, her fingers gripping the fabric of her saree. She didn't mean to upset him, but hearing the frustration in his voice made her eyes sting, tears threatening to spill over. She tried to hold it back, but Vivanth saw her struggle.
"Look at me," he said, his tone softening just a bit but still firm. "Do you think I like scolding you? I hate it. But what choice do you leave me?" His eyes softened as he noticed her trying not to cry, yet he still kept his serious expression. "Get up," he said, offering her a hand.
Without waiting for an argument, he helped her up, then wrapped an arm around her as they left the cabin. "We're going home," he said, his voice still edged with frustration. "And I don't want to hear any excuses."
Arushi didn't dare argue. She simply nodded, feeling his grip tighten protectively around her as he guided her out of the office. She knew he was still mad, but that anger was laced with concern she couldn't ignore. As they made their way to the car, he held her close, his expression stern but caring, and she couldn't help but feel a strange comfort even in his anger.
In the car, Vivanth was focused on driving while Arushi gazed out the window, lost in her thoughts. After a while, she turned to him, resting her chin on his left shoulder, her eyes sparkling looking at him. Wrapping her arms around his left arm, she leaned in close.
Vivanth looked down at her with a smirk. "What do you want, my rabbit?" he asked, pressing a light kiss on her nose.
"I'm starving," she said with a dramatic sigh.
He raised an eyebrow. "Starving? Didn't you just have your juice?"
Arushi scrunched up her nose, giving him a little pout. "Yes, but I'm hungry now!" She gave his arm a playful pinch.
