Rachel's POV
The day after the party? Let's just say things were a bit... extra. Ms. Kim's doing everything she can to keep her CEO status under wraps from Alexis, who, bless her oblivious heart, is getting a little too friendly with the boss lady. It's like watching a hilarious tug-of-war between a playful puppy and a... well, a very well-dressed dragon.
Speaking of dragons, Ms. Kim can be a force of nature, that's for sure. Strict? Absolutely. Bossy? You bet. But there's a reason they call the 21st floor the "dragon's nest"—Ms. Kim commands respect. And let me tell you, having seen my fair share of CEOs in my time, she's definitely one of the more interesting ones.
So, Alexis starts her training on the chill 11th floor, right? Everything's sunshine and rainbows. Then, bam! A week in, Ms. Kim throws me a curveball. "Rachel, darling," she purrs (okay, maybe not purrs, but definitely commands with a hint of mischief), "change of plans. Need a hawk-eye on my new right-hand woman, you know, intense observation and all that jazz. Consider it a promotion! Just one tiny favor, though..."
Ms. Kim leans in, a glint in her eye. "Top secret mission: Operation Undercover Boss. You can't breathe a word about me being the CEO. New girl, new floor, fresh start, that kind of thing. Plus, ditch the CEO journals with my gorgeous face plastered on every page—publicity's not exactly my thing. And while we're at it, 'Ms. Kim' is the name, 'KC' is on vacation for a while. Oh, and a little bonus for your troubles?" She winks. "Consider it a permanent raise. Deal?"
Let me tell you, that's just part of her 'Pervert Academy' plan—I can totally sense it. Let's say, I'm 99.9% sure. The way she looks at Alexis, the oblivious little bunny? She's practically undressing the innocent, bless her heart—Alexis, with her raw and piercing gazes.
Money talks, and let me tell you, this secretary walks. So, next thing I know, I'm whisked away from the 11th floor and become Ms. Kim's personal robot-slash-stamping machine. She signs, I file, she reviews, I stamp—a well-oiled paperwork processing machine!
So, Ms. Kim's not exactly shouting her new CEO status from the rooftops yet. TechnoCOMS is going through a bit of a... transition, let's say. But hey, two years in and she's already shaking things up! Her sister was a force to be reckoned with, the original dragon on the throne, but Ms. Kim? She's all sunshine and rainbows... well, not mostly. (Don't tell her I said that!)
Speaking of a dragon, she apparently flew the coop in search of... love? Okay, maybe just a good meal. Don't judge, everyone needs a hobby! But seriously, the difference is night and day. Ms. Kim on the 11th floor is all smiles and helpfulness—think a friendly neighborhood fairy godmother. Up on the 21st floor, though? That's a whole different story. Let's just say the 'dragon's nest' nickname is pretty fitting.
Originally, I was all set to train Alexis, the new EA, and show her the ropes. But then, surprise! Ms. Kim decides to switch things up. Suddenly, I'm stuck guarding the 'nest' while she cozies up with the new hire on the 'subordinate's surface.' Talk about a plot twist!
Today?
The door practically burst open, and Ms. Kim swooped in. Looks like the dragon finally decided to grace us with her presence again. Here's hoping she sticks around longer than a coffee break this time, especially since there's a mountain of paperwork for the big boss's meeting.
"Rachel, my ace in the hole!" she chirped (well, maybe not chirped, but definitely announced with a hint of... impatience?). "Alexis needs all the onboarding goodies—offer letter, contract, the whole nine yards. Print 'em, prep 'em, send 'em. Don't make me unleash the inner CEO on you, you know the drill," then she slammed the door shut—straight to her office.
Now, this was a change. Usually Ms. Kim practically volunteers to hand-deliver cupcakes to Alexis. Blaming me for paperwork? This was some next-level mystery!
