Chapter 5 - The Date Mission With an Angel

“So, where should we start looking for this box thingy?”

We went by the mall one Saturday morning, since I thought we would find what we were looking for in shome gift shops theat sell boxes. Don’t get me wrong, but that’s the first thing that came into my mind since he did say the box word. So, I literally understand that we are just looking for a normal box.

“Its called the Maiden’s Lullaby Box,” Skylark corrected.

I stand corrected.

The box we are looking isn’t just an ordinary box that is use like a gift, storage for old stuff, furniture cover, television box or whatever the use of it. It was the kind of box that keeps the balance of earth at peace and harmony. Well, at least that is what he told me.

I even think that given only six months for finding the Maiden’s Lullaby Box, it wasn’t enough time to search for it. I can only focus half of my time in searching while the other half would be my studies. Worst of all, Skylark doesn’t even know what the box looks like since he hasn’t seen it before in his entire life.

How can we find the thing we are looking for within six months, if we don’t even know what it looks like? Great. Now, that’s just really bloody great!

“Don’t those holy guys,” I briefly glance above, “gave any other information that you can use in finding that Maiden’s Lullaby Box?”

Skylark paused as he watch the fountain splashed with water, found at the center of the mall. “Only the three miracles they have given me that can be of used for my mission,” he said, still admiring and awed at the structure made of marble alabaster. He then turned at me. “I used one miracle to prolong a bit of Mariah’s father. So that leaves us two miracles that I can use to help us in our mission.”

That’s right. He used his first miracle on Mariah’s father the last time we went to her house. Now, we’re down with only two miracles left. I wonder. . .

“Hey Skylark,” I grabbed him by his sleeve, “can’t I just call you Sky for short? You’re name’s too bloody long for me to mention,”

“Both our names have one word and have the same number of letters,” he said, then he narrowed his eyes looking at me. He was now scowling at me. “Would you mind stop cursing,” he said while pinching me hard on the cheek.

“Dammit!” I yelled at him. By the time he released me, I glared at him. “That hurt so much!”

“I won’t be surprise to know that you didn’t make it to heaven since—

“Yeah, yeah, I know,” I said while waving my hand in dismiss. “I’ve already got myself a one way ticket to either heaven or hell.”

I carefully touched my right cheek, where he pinched it so hard, and winced at the pain. Sky, looked at me with a bemused expression when he asked, “What do you mean you already got yourself a one way ticket to heaven or hell.”
