Poppy seriously didn't know how she had ended up in this situation. How in the world had her friends convinced her to go to a party? Well she knew, she had lost a bet to Teddy.

'I bet you can't ask Remus Lupin to come with you to the party.'  The redhead had whispered in her ear in the middle of class. Poppy didn't do bets often, but she was sure she could ask Remus out. Plot twist! She didn't.

She was going to do it, really she was. But as she was confidently walking to the library where she knew he would be, Poppy didn't expect the whole cult of his friends to be there. And, to make things worse, her sister was sitting there too with her own friends. There was no way in hell Poppy was going to ask him out in front of all of them. So, she turned around and walked back to her dorm, where her friends waited patiently.

Now, she stood in front of her mirror. She pushed her black dress, trying to cover more than the little dress could with the lack of fabric. Hestia and Teddy reassured she looked good. She knew she looked good, it was not that. It was the party itself that made Poppy nervous.

Last party of the year, hosted by the best house: Hufflepuff. This would be the last party of her fifth year. Lilys last party in hogwarts, Poppy knew for a fact that her sister would be here. The Marauders, as that called themselves ( Poppy thought it was the oddest name ever, and why had they even named their friend group? Who in the world names their own friend group? ), went to every party that took place in Hogwarts. It was no surprise they would be at this one too.

Poppy wasn't really one to go to parties; that was more Hestia and Teddy's thing. Poppy never liked parties, too much socialising for her. Usually, there was some wizard music she didn't know, and it irritated her. Muggle music was so much better! But she lost the bet, and even Pandora had encouraged her to go, promising she would be there with her friends.

The pureblood slytherins, Poppy didn't personally hate them, just their ideals that she should be dead on a ditch because of her 'stealing' the magic. Pandora was the only one she really liked, the others she hadn't had the sweet pleasure of meeting. But with the rumor that Mulciber had attacked Mary Macdonald, Poppy liked to keep her distance.
