Amidst the tension-filled atmosphere, the group gathered in Briar's dorm room, their gazes flickering nervously between each other and the scattered belongings strewn across the floor. Brooke, her brow furrowed in concentration, sifted through a stack of books, searching for any clue that might lead them to the missing mirror."I can't believe we still haven't found it," Maddie exclaimed, frustration lacing her voice as she rummaged through a pile of clothes. "Where could it be?"
Raven glanced up from her search, a flicker of concern crossing her features. "We have to find it soon," she insisted, her tone urgent. "Every moment we waste is another moment our fairytales could be in danger."
As the group exchanged worried glances, Duchess's keen eyes fell upon Briar's bag, tucked away in the corner of the room. With a sense of determination, she made her way over to it, her curiosity piqued.
"What's in here?" Duchess mused, her voice barely above a whisper as she unzipped the bag.
Before anyone could protest, Duchess's hand closed around the cool surface of the mirror, hidden amongst Briar's belongings. The group watched in stunned silence as she pulled it out, a mix of shock and disbelief washing over them.
"What are you doing with that?" Duchess demanded, her voice tinged with suspicion, breaking the silence that had settled over the room.
Briar hesitated, her grip tightening on the mirror as she struggled to find the right words. In a moment of vulnerability, she found herself compelled to explain her motives, her voice trembling with emotion.
"I couldn't bear the thought of... of sleeping for a hundred years like my mother, Sleeping Beauty," Briar confessed, her gaze downcast. "I wanted to rewrite my story, to take control of my own destiny."
The group listened in stunned silence, understanding dawning in their eyes as Briar's words washed over them. In that moment, they realized the depth of Briar's struggle, the weight of her burden, and the lengths she had gone to in order to change her fate.
But before anyone could question her further, Briar took a deep breath and pressed a few buttons on the mirror.
"Capture Briar Beauty," she said, her voice steady.
A bright light engulfed Briar, pulling her into the mirror and transporting her to the narrator world. The group watched in stunned silence as Briar disappeared from sight, leaving behind a sense of emptiness in her wake.
As the light faded, Duchess turned to the group, her expression somber.
"I think she just changed her destiny," she murmured, her voice heavy with regret.
Brooke nodded, her heart heavy with worry for her friend. "We have to go after her."
With determination in their hearts, the group gathered around the mirror, ready to follow Briar into the unknown. As they prepared to step through, they knew that their journey was far from over. But together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead, united in their quest to set the story right.
