JJ POV

I had a quiet morning getting into work. I stopped to pick up coffee for everyone, receiving many thank yous in return. I sat with Luke in the briefing room waiting for Rossi to join us

"Have you heard from Y/N?" I asked trying to be nonchalant flicking through the new file

"Not since her shipping container fiasco why? Missing your girlfriend?" Luke teased, sitting back in his chair and taking a sip from his coffee

"We're not together and she just hasn't called me that's all" I shrugged

"Say what you want Jareau but you and Y/N, that's a love story in the making" He continued teasing, bumping my shoulder

"Has she seriously not called you though, I thought you were close, suspiciously close"

"Nope. Radio silence"

"I mean she's spoken to me but only for the case. She was on the phone with Prentiss a few days ago but I don't know. Have you called her?"

"No" I muttered sipping at my own coffee

"Stop being a wimp and call her JJ" Luke pushed before focusing back on the file in his hands. I copied his actions until Rossi finally made his way into the briefing room

"Morning, how was your night?" Luke asked rather politely

"Fine, how was yours" Rossi replied sitting down to get on with the case

"Good"

"You, uh, still living out at that hotel Dave?" I asked cautiously

"What's the case?" he said completely avoiding my line of questioning

"This one is in our backyard, four days ago, Alex Arnold was dumped at a rest stop outside of Silver Spring. Cause of death was a severed spinal cord. Last night, it went serial, with Steve Duncan, same COD. Severed spina cord." I explained the case to the pain pulling up the photos with the clicker for the board

"Good looking men in their 30s and not the victimology we see a lot of" Luke continued

"They're usually the Unsubs" Rossi elaborated

"Well, these two were targeting for a very specific reason. They both had apps like Tinder, Feeld, Adult Friend Finder on their phone. That is where they advertised their services at bulls" I said almost awkwardly

"Are bulls the same thing as studs?" Rossi asked contused with todays language for this type of topic

"Close. In the kink known as cuckolding, wives cheat on their husbands with bulls. Men like this. No money trades, hence, it's all legal and consensual" I explained to Rossi

"The Unsub could have been burned by that. Now he's taking his revenge" Rossi analysed

"There's another reason why we have to take this case. Out last Unsub, Rory Gilcrest, he switched cars at a Walmart parking lot. This Unsub did the same thing, down to the Walmart" I continued explaining

"We profiled that Rory had a partner. Is this our shipping container guy?" Luke asked

"I checked with Tara. None of the bodies in the shipping container have severed spinal cords. Yes, this is a very specific signature but we can't ignore what's in front of us. Details from our last case are showing up here" I answered him, receiving a look after mentioning I spoke with Tara

"Then there's another theory we have to consider. Whosever behind that shipping container doesn't have one partner. He has two" Rossi said causing our brains to turn with the possibilities of how big this case could possibly end up being.
