AZRIEL HAMILTON

A few minutes left until I could go home.

I can't wait!.

My office was getting a little tight for me today, all I wanted to do was go home and take my shoes off.

We had a campaign today to launch the company's twentieth year anniversary, I would be dammed if I worked in the same company for more than five years or less.

Unless I built it.

Matter of fact, if I built a company, I won't be at work everyday.

Although it will take me an hour or so to get home because I'll be driving all the way to Clarendon, can't br bothered with this.

Mr Francis created a new franchise and wanted it to clash with the twentieth, can imagine how many things I had to do today.

Spent my whole week organizing, planning and executing plans just for this day.

And it was more than a success!.

Bap bap, big up you fi dat!.

Bad bad me.

While packing my things, the familiar scent of the bath and body works perfume started to fill the air.

I closed my eyes in frustration.

"Izzy, yaah pack up early?", Courtney stops by my door, "yaah go meet huzzy?".

Sigh.

Another girl joins her with a laugh.

"Azriel naav no man, she mussi a go home go sew" Francine cackles.

Why dem deh a mi door a bada mi?.

"Mi just might sew yuh sumn nice Francine" I answer while zipping my handbag.

We are greeted by Mr Francis, "Azriel, I thought you already left".

The tall, dark man stood in the doorway wearing the company's t-shirt and jeans.

Mi did already tell him mi might leave early today since mi did do my part all week, did just come show mi face.

I hooked my handbag on my arm with a smile, "I'm just about to go, do you need me to do anything else?".

He shook his head at me, "no, thank you for coming in today".

"No problem".

I picked up my keys, watching as they stepped away from my office allowing me to lock the door.

"Why does she get to go home early?" Francine frowns to Mr Francis.

I rolled my eyes at her question.

Mi doh like not one a dem.

"Have a good rest of the day Azriel" he calls out to me, "ladies, get back to work please".

"You too Sir".

I exit the building, passing by my coworkers busy and hard at work.

I did most of their part, all they had to do was execute the little parts they were given.

I've been here for only three years and I've always done the hardest parts of the campaigns, projects, anything that had to do with creating strategies, flyers, posters, planning how the days should go.

Mr Francis entrusted me a lot because I do my job well.

I'm more than just a digital marketer.

And thanks to me making sure all went well today, he gave me a week off with paid leave.
