I GRAB MY keys, out of my pocket before giving Johnny a hug and tell him and Pony that I'm going to work.

I drive myself to the Dingo, a diner here in Tulsa. Mostly greasers come here, Socs only come when they're looking for a fight or trouble. After I clock in I start taking orders.

︽︽︽︽︽︽︽

I pick up some drinks to take to a table, along the way some random Soc from a table grabs my butt and the drinks spill all over me. I turn around and glare at him.

"Sorry princess, my hand slipped." He smirks, thinking he's funny.

I flip him off. "Sorry, my hand slipped." His smirk fades from his face and he's obviously angry. I hate Socs, the rumbles never help. If anything it makes it worse.

I squat down and pick up the cups that fell. If I bent over my ass would definitely pop out, I hate these uniforms. They're so tight and revealing and uncomfortable.

All I know is whoever made them needs to be fired. From every place, ever. I walk back to the kitchen and I try to dry myself off as well as I can, even though I'm sticky now from the sodas.

I sigh, and put the cups in the sink. I get new drinks and take them to the table successfully. "Sorry for the wait, accidentally spilled them." I smile apologetically. They nod, saying it's alright and it happens.

My manager tells me to take orders at table 7, so I walk over and just my luck it's the guy who assaulted me and his stupid Soc friends. I put a smile on my face anyways. "What can I get for ya guys?" I ask patiently, trying to keep my cool.

"Are you available?" He asks. What a creep.

I smile politely anyways. "Sir, please tell me what you would like that is on the menu. If you're not getting anything then you need to leave."

He smirks, "I'll do what I want, honey."

I mentally roll my eyes. I want to punch him so bad, but I can't lose this job. It's how I'm able to keep a roof over Johnny and I's heads and food on the table when we're not at the Curtis house.

"I'll come back when you know what you'd like." I smile, walking away, but he grabs my arm.

"Please get your hands off of me." I say, but he doesn't listen, instead he drags me to the bathroom and shuts and locks the door.

"Let me out, or I swear I will scream bloody murder." I state, still smiling.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, I have plenty of friends and I know your brother, and you wouldn't want Johnny hurt, would you?" He smiles mischievously.

"You won't lay a damn hand on my brother if you know what's good for ya." I say, now angry. I kick him in the shin and he groans, so I take that as my chance to get out and go out of the bathroom. It's 7:15, so I have my break.

I grab my keys and I quickly go outside to my car and drive to the Curtis house. I finally arrive and park my car behind Darry's truck and walk inside and sit on the couch. Everyone is back by now.

Darry is doing dishes from dinner in the kitchen, Pony, of course, has his nose in a book, Dallas is smoking a cigarette in the arm chair, no matter how many times Darry tells him not to smoke in the house, he still does.

Sodapop and Steve are on the couch, as well as Johnny. Two-Bit, no suprise here, is sitting on the floor in front of the TV, watching Mickey Mouse and has a chocolate cake and beer.

Steve reaches for his cake to take some, but Two smacks his hand away and I snicker.

"Paws off!" Two yells at Steve.

"Share the cake, Two! It's a whole entire one, you don't need it all to yourself!" Darry yells from the kitchen.

"Oh, hey Lo." Darry says.

I smile at him "Hi Darry."

15 minutes later I get up off of the couch, "I gotta go back to work, I'll be back around like 10." I strech.

"Okay, bye sis" Johnny says. I smile and hug him before going to my car and making my way back to work.
