"Good morning!" Kurenai greeted cheerfully, emerging from a nearby tree with a warm smile. "I suppose you're going to be my subordinates," she added, addressing Team 8.
Sakura couldn't help but admire Kurenai's appearance. "She's pretty," she commented softly, noting the Jounin's elegant demeanor and confident aura.
Kiba, on the other hand, had a different reaction. "She radiates the same energy as mom, and I don't like it," he muttered under his breath, feeling a mixture of admiration and unease at Kurenai's presence, which reminded him of his strong-willed mother.
Shino, always composed and observant, greeted Kurenai with a simple "Hello," his tone neutral but respectful, as he assessed their new Jounin instructor.
Kurenai nodded in acknowledgment of their greetings, her eyes scanning each member of Team 8 with a thoughtful expression. "It's a pleasure to meet you all," she said warmly. "I look forward to working together and helping you grow as shinobi."
Sakura smiled, feeling reassured by Kurenai's welcoming demeanor. "Thank you, sensei," she replied, her eagerness to learn evident in her voice.
Kiba, although still wary, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, looking forward to it," he muttered, trying to hide his apprehension behind a mask of confidence.
Shino remained stoic as usual, his expression giving nothing away. However, there was a subtle hint of curiosity in his eyes as he observed Kurenai, silently analyzing her leadership style and abilities.
"Hey there!" Asuma greeted casually, a relaxed smile on his face. "Name's Asuma Sarutobi," he introduced himself.
"What a drag," Shikamaru muttered under his breath, already finding their new instructor tiresome.
"Who is this guy?" Ino asked, looking puzzled.
"Hey, sensei!" Chouji called out enthusiastically, barely pausing from munching on his bag of potato chips.
Asuma took out a cigarette and lit it, the smoke wafting through the air and quickly becoming a nuisance to both Ino and Shikamaru.
"Hey, come on!" Shikamaru complained, waving his hand to disperse the smoke. "Don't smoke here. It's troublesome."
Ignoring the protest, Asuma exhaled a puff of smoke nonchalantly. "How about we all go for a barbecue?" he suggested, changing the topic with a laid-back attitude.
"You're serious?" Chouji asked, his eyes wide with surprise.
Asuma winked. "Yes, my treat."
Chouji's face lit up with a broad smile. "YES!!" he exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement.
But then his expression fell as he glanced at Ino and Shikamaru, who were bickering and not getting along.
His shoulders slumped, and he said, "But I'm not coming. If my comrades aren't getting along, it would be hard for me to enjoy the barbecue."
Asuma observed this change in mood and mused quietly, "It seems Chouji has the most outstanding personality so far."
Shikamaru and Ino exchanged a glance, feeling a pang of guilt for letting their disagreements affect Chouji. Realizing the impact their actions had on their friend, they silently agreed to make adjustments and get along, wanting to ensure that Chouji could enjoy the barbecue without any worries.
Seeing the regret in their expressions, Chouji's eyes softened. He knew they cared about him, even if they had their differences.
