Jiraiya looked at Naruto, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You know, Naruto, there's another technique that could come in handy in a pinch. It's called the Summoning Jutsu."
Naruto's eyes widened with curiosity. "Summoning Jutsu? What's that?"
Jiraiya chuckled, realizing that Naruto was unfamiliar with the technique. "Well, let me explain. The Summoning Jutsu allows a ninja to summon creatures or objects from a different realm to assist them in battle."
Naruto's expression turned into one of wonder. "That sounds amazing! Can you teach me, Jiraiya-sensei?"
Jiraiya nodded. "Of course, but it's not something you can master in a day. It requires a deep connection with the summoned creature and precise chakra control."
Naruto listened intently as Jiraiya explained the intricacies of the Summoning Jutsu. He tried to absorb every detail, but it was clear that it was a complex technique.
"Let's start with the basics," Jiraiya said, gesturing for Naruto to follow him to a clearing. "I'll summon Gamakichi, one of my toad summons, and you can observe how it's done."
Naruto watched in awe as Jiraiya performed the hand seals and channeled his chakra. A puff of smoke appeared, and standing before them was Gamakichi, a small toad with a wise expression.
"Hey, old man," Gamakichi greeted Jiraiya with a croak.
Jiraiya chuckled. "Watch closely, Naruto. This is how you establish a contract with a summon."
Naruto nodded eagerly, trying to memorize every movement Jiraiya made. But as Jiraiya repeated the process a few times, Naruto found himself struggling to replicate it.
"It's not working," Naruto said, frustration creeping into his voice.
Jiraiya patted him on the back. "It's okay, Naruto. The Summoning Jutsu is one of the more advanced techniques. It takes time and practice to master."
Naruto sighed, feeling a bit disheartened. "I really want to learn it, though. It could be so useful."
Jiraiya smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, kid. We'll keep working on it. It's all about perseverance and determination. You'll get there eventually."
Naruto nodded, determination flashing in his eyes once again. "I won't give up, Jiraiya-sensei. I'll keep practicing until I get it right."
Jiraiya turned around, stretching his arms with a yawn. "It's getting late, kid. Let's call it a day and continue tomorrow."
Naruto shook his head vigorously, his eyes full of determination. "I can't stop now," he insisted, trying once more to summon a frog. "I can't afford to waste even a second."
Jiraiya chuckled, walking over to the young ninja and patting his sweaty head. "You can have all the time you need tomorrow. There's no rush. Let's just take a break for now."
Naruto looked down, a mix of frustration and exhaustion weighing on him. He wanted to keep pushing himself, but he knew Jiraiya had a point.
Seeing Naruto's disheartened expression, Jiraiya thought for a moment. "Hey, how about this?" he said with a smile. "Do you want to stay at my place tonight? It's a bit skimpy, but it should do."
Naruto's eyes widened, and a small, grateful smile spread across his face. The offer of a place to stay and some company was more than he expected. Tears began to well up in his eyes, blurring his vision.
"Now, now, kid," Jiraiya said, noticing the tears. "Why are you crying?"
"It's just that..." Naruto's voice quivered, and he suddenly lunged forward, wrapping his arms around Jiraiya in a tight hug. "Thank you, Jiraiya-sensei. For everything."
