Sasuke confined himself in the room, the shadows playing across his features as he sat brooding in the dim light. Itachi's harsh words from yesterday echoed relentlessly in his mind, each syllable a knife twisting in his heart.
"Itachi..." Sasuke muttered through gritted teeth, his eyes narrowing into a fierce glare. He could feel the Curse Mark on his neck beginning to activate, its dark energy spreading through his body like wildfire. "I'll make sure I'll kill you..."
His thoughts spiraled back to that fateful night, the night of the massacre. The sight of his parents' lifeless bodies, the eerie silence of their home, the overwhelming scent of blood—all of it replayed in an endless loop, searing itself into his memory. He remembered the cold look in Itachi's eyes, the merciless way he had slaughtered their clan.
Sasuke's fists clenched, his nails digging into his palms. The pain was a welcome distraction from the tormenting images in his head. Every fiber of his being was consumed with rage and a burning desire for vengeance. He could hear Itachi's voice, taunting him, belittling him, reminding him of his weakness.
"I will become stronger," Sasuke vowed to himself, the Curse Mark pulsing with power. "I will surpass you, Itachi. I will make you pay for what you did. I will avenge our clan, and I will not rest until you're dead."
As the Curse Mark fully consumed him, Sasuke lost all sense of reason, his mind overtaken by a primal fury. He erupted from the room in a whirlwind of destruction, lashing out at everything and everyone in his path. Walls cracked and splintered under his fists, furniture shattered into splinters, and the once-quiet corridors were now filled with the sounds of chaos.
"Sasuke-kun!" the nurse who attended to him cried out, her voice trembling with fear and concern.
"Not again," Asuma muttered grimly, exchanging a worried glance with the other shinobi present. They had seen this transformation before, but it never got any easier to handle. "We need to stop him before he hurts anyone."
Sasuke's eyes were wild, his Sharingan glowing ominously as he continued his rampage. "I'm going to kill all of you!!!" he screamed, his voice a blend of anguish and rage. He lashed out with a powerful kick, sending a nearby table flying across the room.
The shinobi quickly formed a defensive line, ready to restrain him. Asuma stepped forward, his chakra blades at the ready. "Sasuke, snap out of it! This isn't you!"
But Sasuke was beyond hearing. The Curse Mark's influence had stripped away his reason, leaving only a berserk fury that demanded release. He charged at the group, his movements a blur of speed and aggression. The shinobi braced themselves, knowing they had to act swiftly to subdue him without causing him further harm.
Asuma launched himself at Sasuke, aiming to disarm him with a precise strike. "Everyone, focus on containing him! We can't let him hurt himself or anyone else!"
But that didn't stop Sasuke. He continued his rampage, laying waste to everything in his path with a ferocity that seemed almost unstoppable. Buildings crumbled, the ground shook, and the air was thick with smoke and ash. He was a whirlwind of destruction, his eyes burning with a mixture of rage and despair.
As he flew through the devastation, cutting through the chaos with swift, decisive movements, his eyes fell upon Hinata once more. She lay amidst the rubble, unconscious and battered, her body motionless. The sight of her, so vulnerable and fragile, struck him like a blow to the heart.
"Hinata..." Sasuke whispered, the name escaping his lips almost involuntarily. In that moment, her gentle smile and the warmth of her kindness flashed vividly in his mind, replaying like a cherished memory. He remembered her unwavering support, her quiet strength, and the way she always believed in the good within others, even him.
