Chloe's POV

"I can't do this." I stated from the driver seat of the car. Currently, I was in the car with Jaime, Bart, Virgil, and Cassie. They were teaching me how to drive, which was a big mistake. "Yes, you can." Jaime said as he placed a hand on my shoulder. I took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay. Okay, I got this. What do you do first?" I asked as I looked at the complex scene of levers and brakes in front of me. Everyone groaned. "I thought you read the manual?" Bart asked. "Uh..." I muttered in response. "You didn't read it, right?" Cassie asked from the back, and everyone groaned again as I gave a nervous smile. "I'm getting out of this car before I die." Virgil muttered as he went to open the door, but Cassie shoved him back down into his seat. "No negative commentary in my car. Okay, um, you turn the keys first, right?" I asked as I placed my hand on the keys, and Cassie gave me a thumbs up. I gently turned the keys, and the car engine roared to life.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and I shot them all a glare. "Okay, what's next?" Virgil asked. I had no idea. "Uh, gear stick. Yeah, gear stick." I reassured myself. I shifted it into the 'R' letter, hoping it was the right one. "Okay." I muttered. Then I looked at the pedals. I shifted my foot off the brake, and put it on the accelerator. Then I looked over my shoulder to get a better view. I took a deep breath, and pushed hard on the accelerator. That was a mistake. We turned way too fast, went over one of the concrete bumps, and I slammed my foot on the other pedal, stopping us in the grass. I had never heard the boys scream so loud, and high. I slammed my foot onto the brake and turned to look at everyone. Cassie and Virgil were tightly holding onto each other, while Bart was hyperventilating. Jaime was tightly holding onto the seatbelt. Their eyes were all wide, and mouths open. "Okay, look, at least we're facing the right way." I said, and everyone gave me massive side eyes. They all sighed. I turned back to look at the parking lot in front of us.

I took a deep breath. I gently pressed on the accelerator, while keeping my foot over the brake, and holding the wheel. We slowly went forward back into the parking lot. Everyone sighed in relief. I rolled my eyes, but smiled.

"Okay, I get why you two are here, but why am I here?" I muttered as I looked at my security guard uniform, again. I was sitting in the middle of Barry Allen, the Flash, and Billy Benson, Captain Marvel. Like I said, I didn't really get why I was here. I wasn't even a member of the Justice League. They both ignored me though. "Have I mentioned that I love this gig? Because I really love this gig!" Billy exclaimed happily as he kicked his legs. His inner five year old spirit was still there. "Kid, when you've been at this as long as I have, what you'll love is just getting through the day." Barry replied. "Sounds like old man Barry didn't have his coffee this morning." I said, and Barry rolled his eyes. "C'mon, we're putting bad guys where they belong! You can't tell me part of you doesn't love this gig!" Billy exclaimed, again. "Billy, we do that anyway." I mutter, but that doesn't really stop his excitement. "Okay, sure, part of me loves this-" Barry began, but then something threw us forward.

Way forward. I mean as in flipped over forward. I grab onto the seat and look down as we flip over. And there was Sportsmaster. Great. "Okay, yeah! I totally love this gig!" Barry exclaims as I rip off my shirt to reveal my suit underneath. "Shazam!" Billy yells, and I scooch away before my hair gets singed. I quickly fly out and assist Billy in catching the flipped over bus. "Phew." I breathe a sigh of relief as we lower the bus down onto the ground again. "A hockey puck, really?" Barry asks as we fly over and see Sportsmaster holding a, well, hockey puck up to us. "Really." Sportsmaster replies, and then a sonic blast fires from out of it. "Oh yay, a fancy hockey puck. I see why they call him Sportsmaster." I mutter as I slowly stand up after being knocked into a building. I watch as Abra Kadabra pops out of nowhere and opens the back of the truck using his magic. "Shit." I mutter. I prepare to fire my beams, but I watch as a blue bubble imprisons Brick, and knocks back Kadabra.

"Oh yeah Rock!" I cheer as I watch Rocket descend from the sky, and she grins. Brick angrily pounds on the bubble. "Please, keep punching." Rocket says as I make my way over to her. "Kadabra!" Brick yells as he turns to look at the other man. I quickly make a forcefield around him, and both men groan. "It looks as if my assistance was not needed." And I smiled as I saw Kaldur approaching. "All good here." I reply as I high fived Rocket. "Oh, man, I got the worst luck." Brick mutters as Rocket drops her bubble, and Kaldur places an inhibitor collar around him. "Trust me, you have no idea just how lucky you are." Kaldur responds. He then turns to me, and my smile fades a bit. He looks dead serious. "I have a proposal for you." He says, and I gulp.

I bite my nails as me and Jaime watch The Mighty Ducks 3. "Is there something wrong?" Jaime finally asks as he turns to look at me and gently grabs my hands to stop my nail biting. "TheyaskedmetojointheJusticeLeague." I spit out really fast. "What?" He replies, and I was unclear whether he was in shock or didn't understand what I said. "They, Kaldur, asked me to join the Justice League." I repeated, and his eyes widened. "Chloe, that's amazing!" He exclaims as he wraps me into a hug and kisses my forehead. "I guess." I mutter, clearly not as excited as him. "What do you mean, you guess?" He asks. "I dunno. I don't really want to join." I replied, and he raised his eyebrows. "I mean, the Team's all I've ever known, and I feel like they only picked me because they're really short handed right now." I explained. "I get that, but you aren't excited at all?" He asks, and I shrug. "I mean, a little, but I don't really want to leave the Team. Yet, anyway." I replied, and he nodded.

"Whatever your decision is, mi amore, I support you." He says as he pulls me close and kisses my forehead. I smile, and place a hand to his lips. "Now be quiet, Luis is having screen time." I say eagerly as I looked at the hockey boy on the screen. "I guess hispanics really are your type." Jaime muttered, but I didn't respond. "What about me?" Jaime whined after a minute. I pull him in for a kiss, a long one too. Jaime grabs my waist and slowly moves on top of me. I latch my arms on the back of his neck, and we part for a minute. "That was hot." I mutter in happiness as he grins. "Did I make you forget about Luis now?" He asks, and I smiled as he pulls me in for another kiss, slowly making his way down my neck. You can imagine how that night went.
