Chloe's POV

"And so, we gather here today to celebrate the life of Joan Garrick." Joan Garrick must've been the most social woman ever. I hope that this many people pulled up to my funeral. I gently grabbed Jaime's hand as I listened to the Priest continue on with the funeral rights. After it was over, the first person I found was Bart. I immediately wrapped him in a hug, and he sobbed into my shoulder. "It's okay, it's okay." I whispered as he continued to cry.

I watched as the rest of the team landed outside the Meta Human Youth Center later. "There's one more. Kind of a special case." I heard Gar say to Kaldur. "Okay Bioship, show us the hold." Bioship turned to show us the water tank. I gasped as I saw who was inside. "It's a mermaid!" I exclaimed. "Not a mermaid." Ed corrected. "Shut up, you're ruining my dreams!" I snapped back as I looked at the girl. She didn't have a mermaid tail, but she did have fins and gills, and all the fish stuff. She had blue eyes, and long white hair. "Totally a mermaid." I squealed in excitement. "Hey guys, you missed a weird one today! Not that you didn't have a great excuse... I mean, uh..." Virgil trailed off as Bart placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled.. "Condolences?" Virgil said, and Bart wrapped him in a hug. Then Ed cleared his throat.

"I want in." I choked on my coffee that I had been swallowing, and Jaime gently patted me on the back. "You want in?" Gar asked as he turned to Ed. "Yeah, in. To the Outsiders." Ed stated firmly. "Seriously? You were never into the whole hero thing." Virgil said. "I know, but the three of us were talking after the funeral, and this is something I need to do. For the kids here." Ed said. "Well, what part of we got you covered, didn't cover them? Them especially!" Virgil asked. "You guys are great but Brion's a prince and Gar's a TV star, you three are clearly legacies, and Chloe is... well Chloe." I threw my hands up. "First the secret keeping and now this!" I exclaimed. "And, the kids here just don't know you." Ed added. "They know me!" I was being ignored. "How rude." I muttered as I crossed my arms.

"Great, thanks." Virgil muttered. "Sorry, but, they need to see one of their own on the squad." Ed apologized. "Dude, you had me on I want in. All those in favor?" Everyone raised their hand, and Ed smiled. "Wait, did I hear you right, you're really joining the Outsiders!?" Wendy exclaimed as she ran up to Ed. "That's it, I'm done." I muttered as I finished my coffee. "Looks like it." Ed said. "That's amazing! And you picked the perfect time!" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "I did?" Ed asked. "Check your phones!" I pulled out my phone to see a notification about the Outsiders. "The Outsiders made quite the splash today in Cuba! Now, #WeAreAllOutsiders is trending way beyond the states! They're blowing up internationally! Not just viral, global viral!" Country whatever her last name was exclaimed.

"We did it." Gar muttered in shock. "As of right now, the Outsiders are bigger than the Justice League!" My jaw dropped. "Bigger than the Justice League?" Virgil whispered in shock. "Noted." Gar said. "It's official on the polls! Volt is the favorite Outsider! Best suit, personality, and hair!" I said as I flipped my ponytail and proudly held up my phone. "It also says you're most likely to lose a fight against Jaime." Virgil pointed out. "What!? That is so not true!" I exclaimed as Jaime laughed.
