Nia was born five years before her sister, Qetsiyah. She was born with the gift of sight, causing her to distrust her clan and instead hide her true power. She loved her sister and taught her everything she could, only revealing her true abilities to Qetsiyah.
Knowing what would happen between her sister and Silas, she tried everything to sway her sister's fate. Unfortunately, she failed. Hurt not only by Silas's betrayal and Amara's dishonesty, she put up a wall and only cared for her sister when Qetsiyah died. Her emotional outburst created the other side.
In her many years of life, she gave birth to over 500 descendants and maintained the true balance of magic, intervening only when necessary. To the more fearful and jealous witches of her bloodline, she is a witch who they pray never visit them. To others. She is a myth or legend. She has only willingly appeared before Shelia and Bonnie as they gained her respect. While she is the progenitor of the Bennett Coven, she never accepted herself as part of the coven until Bonnie Bennett offered her hand.
She is a trained and licensed psychologist and lawyer.
She likes money and gold.
Very morally Gray.
Practices all forms of magic, including expression.
Out of boredom, she became a neurosurgeon.

1) In one universe, she trained Derek and Addison Shepard and is the legal guardian in Meredith's will to take her children.
2) She willingly enacted a mate bond with Kol Mikealson.
3)She lived in England and she was a Shadow Queen in Henry the eights court. She bore him 8 sons, each of them he loved and gave titles to.
4) She has met every doppelgänger of Amara and Silas and is responsible for the death of several of them.
5) Unlike other witches, she needs no grimoire and uses them when she is being lazy.
6) She was born during a lunar eclipse.
7) Her first daughter died when she was only sixteen. Nia has met every reincarnation of her soul since then the last reincarnation was the second daughter of Shelia named Nyra Bennett who died on her 22nd birthday.
