I couldn't believe my eyes I felt like they were deceiving me, literally how the fuck did i end up dancing with another bridgerton out of all people me? why?, not that there's anything wrong with Benedict we actually used to be best friends when younger but I doubt he remembers anything I don't remember much about him but his name and couple things but now he's probably like anthony people change but its not good to assume so I'll try my best not too, I haven't heard anything about him among the whispers in the ton since I don't read whistledown so that's a good start no bad rep.
he's smiling at me and I don't know what to say honestly, so I'm just gonna curtsy or something .
"Mr. Bridgerton" I said while seeming awkward, why did I curtsy he's not even a prince, he probably noticed how awkward I am right now. "you don't seem pleased that I was behind the mask" he said making his eyebrow go up causing me to laugh and snort at the same time, all the attention went to us for a good 6 seconds. "sorry, I just um well I'm shocked it is all" I said trying to sound how I was when first speaking to him. "and why's that?" He seemed interested in my answer, you could say he was eager to know. I look away for a quick sec and turn back "nothing I just had an interesting conversation with your brother three? two? nights ago" I said trying not to be vexing "and what was this conversation?" about he said captivated "just a quick civil chat But all I'm really gonna say is , Your brother is a pain in the ass" I said covering my mouth very fast realizing the words that just came out of my mouth, mostly whom I just said this too most importantly.
not knowing what to expect from him because he didn't say anything to the remark rude I made about his brother I just ran slowly to the terrace which appears to be empty. Taking a deep Breath, I plan on returning back to the ballroom to tell mother and lily I'll be heading out early turning back to my surprise Benedict is there standing as if he's about to say something to me clearly he is.
"you never gave me your name he asked, amusement, in his voice. "Gabrielle or gabriella." I said quietly but loud enough for him to hear me.
"has anyone ever told you you're quite amusing" he said gleaming, "how?" I said, "well for one You cursed back in the ballroom, I've never seen that done before besides by me, two You have a Spark in you, and I seem to enjoy it. "and what's the third?" I said in awe, he started moving closer to me. "three, you're the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on" he said touching the corner of my mouth causing my face to redden up.
"Shall I keep going?" he said whispering near my neck, what's up with him and Anthony and there whispering I thought to myself for sec before giving him a response. "thank you benedict" I said trying not to talk in my nervous tone.
"We to drop the honorifics so soon?" he said smirking cutley, "indeed, call me by my name not miss Gabrielle just Gabrielle/Gabriella I said, staring into his eyes
"but um I should head back and go home especially since we're unchaperoned" I said wanting to change the topic, He gives me a lazy masculine sort of smile "see you again Gabriella" he said turning to leave .
gosh what am I thinking changing the topic he just told me I'm the most beautiful woman he's laid eyes on and now he's going to head back in the ballroom and forget about me I know we just met and all but no one's ever said anything like this to me, I can't just let him go that fast so its not or never.
Gabrielle walks forward to Benedict grabbing his hands, causing him to turn his whole body to her leaving him looking deep into her eyes and soul, she gets on her tiptoes placing a kiss on his left cheek, causing his eyes to widen a little.
"thank you for tonight Benedict" she said, while walking away making eye contact with him still.
