Mystic Falls, Virginia May 22, 2009

Remus showed Sirius what was in the bag Iris had. Sirius' eyes went wide!

It was everything she had in her trust vault but it wasn't in galleons, it was in pounds. Luckily she had emptied it before her birthday, then again when it refilled on her birthday. She had been planning to run away to the muggle world so it was smart to exchange it.

"Iris" Remus breathes.

Iris looked at them both, "I couldn't marry that toad! I also really didn't want to die" she said sadly, looking away.

Both men stared at her for a moment, then the bag was shoved into a pocket before she was caught up in another group hug. Iris finally relaxed when they had their arms around her. This is what she wanted, all three of them alive and away from the war.

"I wouldn't want to marry that slob either and could you imagine that harpy as an in law" Sirius shudders. That seemed to get a laugh out of Iris.

Remus paused in the laughing, "Well now that the money issue is handled for the moment we need to think about the other issues".

Iris led them over to an alleyway that didn't have a lot of foot traffic. She definitely didn't need anyone seeing the magic trick she was about to pull off. Remus getting the hint of needing secrecy, put up disillusionment charm and a muffialato. Seeing the area was covered, Iris puled out a shrunken case. Tapping her wand to the top and hissing a password, it grew. It wasn't large by any means but both men knew that looks could be decieving with magic.

"I made sure after that vision with Mr. Weasley that I had everything ready for us to leave. I was only waiting for my O.W.L.S. to finish so they couldn't stop me from leaving. I didn't want to leave you two so I made sure that I had everything ready for us to go at a moments notice if need be" Iris said as she opened the case.

Out of the case came a white blur. She definitely had her feathers ruffled. Hedwig landed on Iris' shoulder and started chittering at her while picking at her hair. Both men watched, amused at the odd bird.

When Iris looked back into the box, trying to get what she wanted to show the men, she seen two large eyes staring back at her. Shocked, she couldn't even get words out until Hedwig nipped her ear, "Dobby?". Dobby climbed out of Hedwigs compartment looking sheepish. He then glanced around curiously.

"Missy Iris" Dobby replied

Iris got down on her knees in front of him, "Dobby, what were you doing in there?" she asked.

Dobby looked Iris in the eye and replied, "Dobby didn't want to be left behind". Iris leaned forward and gave Dobby a hug.

"Well, I'm so happy you stowed away" Iris said laughing.

While Iris was talking with Dobby, Remus and Sirius were looking through the case. They noticed she had purchased enough muggle clothes to last each of them a couple of weeks. She even had shelf stable food stashed away. All of her schoolbooks and supplies were also in the case. It looked like she had stocked up on a lot of the rarer ingredients. Just where had she planned on them running to?

Iris and Dobby walked up to them. She looked at them apprehensively. Why was she so nervous of their response to this, to what she had planned. Sirius put an arm around her, hopefully calming her nerves.

Remus spoke up at this point, " We need somewhere to stay for tonight. We can rest and then figure out what to do tomorrow."

Iris had a thought, looking to Dobby she asked, " Is there any way for you to find more elves or even more magicals?"

Dobby concentrated for a long minute, "I can't sense any magicals like you three or even like me, there is something though. There are people like Mr. Wolf but not the same and there are beings like the nightwalkers from our world. There be witches but not your kind of witch."

The three magicals looked stunned. They really were in a different world. Iris couldn't help but smile. She no longer had to worry about Voldemort or Dumbledore. She had left a couple of friends, but they still had each other. Nev and Luna would be ok.

Remus didn't know what to think. He didn't seem to be a lone wolf here, but he wouldn't have to deal with the prejudice he did before. Maybe he could actually live a life here.

Sirius was free. In this world he would no longer be a fugitive. He could be with Iris and Remus. He didn't have to hide in Grimmauld anymore. He would never have to worry about dementors ever again. Maybe this would all turn out okay.

Dobby looked at the magicals standing in front of him and knew they were going to need him. Every elf knows that they have to take care of the family because wizards are helpless without them.

For the night they stayed at a local bed and breakfast. The two wizards, witch, owl and elf all slept soundly that night. Between the battle, falling through the veil, and all of the emotional revelations from that day, they were exhausted.

Waking up the next morning they ordered room service, showered, then sat down to make a plan. Iris had taken out all of the money she had which equaled to 98,000 pounds. With the American conversion it comes to $124,700. This is a great start for them. With this amount they could get a plan hashed out and hopefully find housing and jobs. They also had to look into school for Iris, being sixteen, almost seventeen, she would need to be enrolled. Also they had to look into paperwork for all of them.
