Epilogue

When Iris and Nik had told the family they were moving to New Orleans, most of them followed. Remus and Sirius of course mad the trip and Dobby loved that everyone was going to live together. Hedwig was pleased that she could explore new places. Kol and Bonnie had moved into the house he had owned since the last time he was there. Elijah and Jenna stayed with Nik and Iris. Rebecca and Stefan had traveled for a bit but always stayed with the family when they were in town. Caroline, Fred and George had gotten married and bought a house near the quarter. Care was going to college, and they wanted their privacy as newlyweds. Finn and Sage had decided to travel as well, who could blame the guy. They also had a room for when they were in town. Henry and Lillian loved that their family was so big and lived either together or close. 

Marcel had been a hard one to get to be a part of their family. He felt as if he didn't belong but when everyone had started coming to town, he realized that he wasn't the only 'outsider'. He didn't look at Iris like a stepmom as she had joked but like a sister.

Iris made sure that Marcel was still included. She knew they had kind of usurped the power from him but no one could deny that because of the contracts the city was thriving.

Iris had just gotten a call from a frantic Rebecca. She had tried to calm her over the phone but decided she needed to do it in person. Looking around, she finally found Nik with Henry and Lillian. 

"Nik, I need to visit Becca really quick. I'm just going to pop over so I can see what she needed because she wasn't clear on the phone" Iris told him, giving him a kiss and then one for each child. 

"Alright Luv, we will be here when you get back. Is Ellie still napping" Nik asked, Iris nods and then pops away. 

Arriving to the place Becca had called from, Iris calls out for her. Hearing a muffled reply she walks towards what she assumes is the bedroom.

"Becca, are you alright" Iris asks, having to walk into the bathroom to find her.

Becca's head is hung in the toilet, "I don't feel well" she moans out right before she throws up again.

Iris runs to pull her head up. "Alright, once you're done you are getting in bed. I will get you some ginger ale and crackers and then run the test" she tells her, waiting for her to finish.

Becca looks miserable when Iris walks back in the room, walking over she hands her sister the snack and pulls her wand. "You will see light but won't feel anything" Iris does the spell and smiles. "Congratulations, you're expecting" Iris tells hers.

Becca breaks down in tears, seems her pregnancy will be how Iris was with Ellie. Poor Stefan. 

Iris gets home and looks for her family. Finding them all piled in her bed, she changes her clothes and quickly joins them.

Nik was frantic, running into the house he can't find his wife, "IRIS" he yells. Luckily, she was trying to calm her now sixteen year old daughter and couldn't hex her husband or son. Iris tells Lillian she will be back and shuts the bedroom door. Nik finally spots her.

"You need to talk with your daughter, some boy thought he could kiss her and I will not have it" Nik says, not noticing the look on his wife's face. 

"Nik, did you grab the boy and then let Henry threaten him while you held him still" Iris asks calmly. Nik finally notices the look she's giving him.

"Luv, he kissed my baby. I will not have it" Nik tries to defend.

"I think you need to apologize to your daughter and the boy, Nik she's only a year younger than I was when we met" Iris tries to tell him, he pales. Spotting Henry, he motions for him to run. "Stop young man. You need to apologize to your sister as well. You two are ridiculous, what are you going to do when Ellie starts kissing boys" 

"I wont have it! They are going to be single until they're thirty!" He yells out, Iris rolls her eyes at her husband and son.

Looking to Nik, Iris tells him quietly, "You either apologize and have Henry apologize or you won't get the chance to make another any time soon" Nik knows she's being serious. 

"Fine, but I want it known I don't like this" Nik pouts. Iris waves him off and goes to find Ellie, at least she doesn't give her a headache.

Nik felt as if his family had never been this happy. There were so many people, blood and not, who were here. Iris had decided they needed a day for everyone. 

Care, Fred and George had just had their twin boys, Stefan and Becca had their daughter, Elijah and Jenna had adopted a baby, Bonnie and Kol had their son, Freya was currently pregnant, Finn and Sage were the only ones who didn't want kids. Remus and Sirius got to play grandpa to all of the kids. 

He watched as his wife walked around with their youngest on her hip, he knew that without her none of this would be possible. The day she ran into him at the coffee shop and agreed to a date was the day everything changed.

Iris had noticed Nik looking at her, she was flitting between everyone and the kids. This is what she had always wanted, a large family that loved each other. They only had a few problems since coming to New Orleans, but they were easily dealt with.

When Iris had went through the veil with Sirius and Remus, she knew they had their second chance. Meeting Nik was one of the best parts of that second chance. She couldn't imagine a happier life than what she had now.

****I would like to give my greatest appreciation to all who have read my story. This is the first time I have written a fanfic and I wanted to make sure I never left you waiting long. This story has reached #1 in two categories so far, Female Harry Potter and The Originals. Everyone who has read or voted, I give you my largest and most sincere Thank You! I do plan to write another story, but I need a small break. I started this story on a whim and every day I added to it until now. I didn't want to get into too many specifics of The Originals, I couldn't finish the series, so I literally ran out of plot. I knew what happened, so I stopped watching because of that. Again, thank you all so much!
