"This feels like goodbye," Sixtine mumbled clutching onto her twin tightly, she was supposed to be up on the hill with Chiron to meet someone from Hogwarts. Francis was supposed to go with a representative from Beauxbaton.
"It's not," Francis held her, "It's a temporary arrangement, and then we'll be back together,"
"You'll come for Christmas right?" Six nearly begged when Francis pulled away from the hug and fixed the beret over her head, "We'll go to Olympus together,"
"Of course I will," Francis assured her, nodding to Chiron as he moved forward on a wheelchair now, instead of his hooves. "I promise,"
Sixtine smiled then, holding her brother to that promise, she hugged Silena and Annabeth a quick goodbye before trudging up the hill with Chiron, asking him questions and rambling about her letter.
HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY
Headmaster: ALBUS DUMBLEDORE
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
Sixtine had paused at that, all those qualifications, they looked like absolute bullshit in the practical world.
Dear Ms. Laurent,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31. Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall,
Deputy Headmistress
"Honestly, Chiron, doesn't this all look like a bunch of bullshit to you?" Sixtine rambled to her teacher, who gave her an amused smile before mumbling to himself, "And she's perfect for him."
When they reached the top of the hill, Sixtine and Chiron stood in silence, scanning the horizon for the person they were supposed to meet. All they could see were trees.
"So, uh," Sixtine began, "You wanted me to meet someone here or something because I don't—WOAH! IT'S SATAN!"
A tall, absolutely unkempt giant parted the trees and walked towards them, each stomp making the ground shake. Sixtine yelped and jumped behind Chiron.
"Ms. Laurent, I presume?" The giant asked gruffly, raising an eyebrow. "I'm Professor Hagrid."
Chiron chuckled softly. "Sixtine, this is Professor Hagrid from Hogwarts. He will be escorting you to the school."
Sixtine peeked out from behind Chiron, eyes wide. Hagrid sure looked haggard—forget sense of fashion, the man looked as if he hadn't showered in years. She shook the fingers of Hagrid's outstretched hand gingerly. "Pleased to meet you."
Hagrid's massive hand enveloped hers, his grip surprisingly gentle. "Don't worry, lass, I don'r bite," he said with a grin that revealed slightly crooked teeth.
Sixtine forced a smile, her brain still processing, even the language was haggard. "Uh, thanks. Nice to meet you too...Professor Hagrid."
Hagrid chuckled, the sound deep and rumbling like distant thunder. "Call me Hagrid,"
Sixtine blinked. "Right, Hagrid." She leaned down towards Chiron and whispered, "That hasn't seen a bath in a decade?"
Chiron coughed to hide his laughter. "Sixtine, Hagrid will take good care of you. He's one of the best at Hogwarts."
