Gale wakes up early in the morning, realizing that it is all a dream, a dream so real that he wakes up with tears running down his face. Gale gets out of bed, leaves his room, and goes into the kitchen to sit at the counter. Lowering his head, he begins to have memories. His sadness overflows over any other emotion.

"Is everything ok?" a voice asks.

Gale startled replies, "Yes, everything is alright honey," to his wife, who was woken up and worried by Gale's sudden mood.

"Is it that dream again?" she asks

"No, it is something else... No need to worry, and forgive me for waking you up from your sleep... I did-"

"Oh please, Gale, don't lie to me... and don't be, you matter more to me than my sleep... I just want to know that you are ok, or is that too much for you?" Gale's wife interrupts him before he can finish his sentence.

Gale grabs his wife's hands as he locks his eyes with hers to say, "I am ok... there's no need for you to worry about
me... I love you."

After their little moment, Gale's wife finally finds relief in his words, which help her gain calm. His wife then goes back into the bedroom to go to sleep, but before she does, she stands by the door of their room while looking at Gale, saying,

"Why don't you come back to bed? It's 4 in the morning...you should get some more rest."

Gale turns to look at his wife, "I will be leaving at 6," he says, adding, "I will be back at 12, ok?"

"Why?...you don't work today...why do you need to leave early today?" questions his wife.

Gale smiles at his wife as he pours water into a glass cup standing next to the open refrigerator. He takes two sips before placing the cup on the counter to his right to say, "It is just some stuff I gotta do with a couple of friends... a friend of mine needs help with some work to do in his car, so he asked me if I could help him... I want to go as early as possible to have more time with the kids today... more time with you," Gale leans in to hold his wife by the waist as he goes to touch her nose with his while adding, "It might take me a bit, but I will be back as soon as I can ok?... I love you."

His wife leans in for a kiss while saying, "I love you too... by the way, your breath smells bad... so make sure to wash before you go."

Gale laughs and replies, "Yours does too, so you should probably wash as well... I am gonna go get ready then, hun, make sure to tell the kids I just went to go help a friend... in case they ask, ok?"

His wife smiles at him as she responds, saying, "Yes, I will...you should probably hurry a bit - It's already 5, you know?"

Gale leaves the kitchen and goes into the bathroom to shower. Once done, he goes to his bedroom to change and get ready. As he is about to leave, Gale spots his wife staring at him while smiling.

"What?" Gale questions nervously.

"Nothing... just that if "work" was a person, you'd probably end up divorcing me." his wife replies playfully.

Gale giggles as he says, "Like if work was more important to me than you... but oh well... I will get going now, love you."

"Oh and before you leave...aren't you going to finish the water?" Gale's wife asks him.

Gale replies, saying, "Oh...I am not thirsty right now...you can drink it."

"Really? Are you sure?... Suit yourself then, ok...that's all... I love you," she replies.

Gale looks at his wife one more time as he smiles before leaving and closing the door behind him. Gale then gets in the car and drives off. While driving, Gale takes a good moment to remember the dream he had and the pain he felt. The dream isn't just a dream. It is a memory of his past. In that dream were his sister, father, mother, his brother Dain - the people Gale hadn't seen in years. What tears him down the most is that he has left his sister alone. He felt immense guilt and pain due to that choice he made. As he stopped his car next to a construction site, he looked around from inside his car. He then steps out of his once he sees what seems to be 2 men in suits.
