Brooke's POV:
I sat on the warm sand. The sun beaming from the sky, as I relaxed by the water. "Brooke?" I turned my head, seeing Ao'nung. I rolled my eyes with a scowl. "What shit face?" I asked, looking back towards to ocean. "I just wanted to come and say I was...sorry." I looked back up at him, not believing a word that came out of his mouth. "That sounded so genuine. But I guess your forgiven. But as I said before...Mess with my family I will not hesitate to just punch you. I will take your eyes out and feed them too you," He nodded his head, fear etched all over his face. "Good, now leave. I'm trying to have a peaceful day without being bothered." I heard his retreating footsteps. I smiled, sighing lightly as I laid down.
"Brooke!" I lift my head to see Tuk running too me. "Tuk Tuk!" I smiled wide as she jumped into my arms. She hugged me tight as I done the same. "Neteyam said you were a badass today!"
"Tuk!" Neteyam said, approaching me as he scolded Tuk for using such language. I laughed as I patted her head. "Its okay Neteyam, she is only with us. Just don't say it near your parents," I whispered the last part, making the her giggle.
Neteyam sat beside me, watching as Tuk played with my hands. "Ao'nung came and said sorry too me. He didn't sound genuine about it though," I announced, smiling at Tuk as she played with my necklace. "Hm," He hummed, somewhat annoyed.
I raised a brow. "What is it 'teyam?" I asked, looking at him. He met my eyes, a sad look in his eye. "Its just that I feel bad that you had to take the blame, even though Lo'ak started the fight."
I sighed, "Lo'ak didn't start it though. It was mainly me. I punched him first," Neteyam shook his head.
"Yes, he made have started the big fight, but I started the main fight in general. Better yet, Ao'nung and his friends started it."
"But, what I am trying to say is that I don't mind taking the blame. If it gets Lo'ak out of trouble all the time. Then I am willing to do anything. Y'all are like family to me," He smiled, laying his head on my shoulder. I smiled too as Tuk laid her head on my other shoulder.
----------
The sun began to set when Neteyam and Tuk feel asleep on me. Not that I didn't mind, but with the both of them on me, they were heavy. But this sweet moment was short lived when none other than Ao'nung himself walked over to us. I scoffed. "What is it this time skwxang?" I asked, making sure not to wake Neteyam and Tuk up.
"Lo'ak is beyond the reef," He mumbled, something I could not hear.
"What? Speak louder shit face," He fidgeted with his fingers. Because what he said next shock me so much that I stood up, making Neteyam fall to the ground with a thud as I held Tuk in my arms.
"You what?! He is beyond the reef?! By himself!?" I yelled, waking Tuk and Neteyam up. Ao'nung coward was I yelled.
"I thought he would be back by now, but he hasn't," I groaned in frustration as Neteyam got up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "What's going on?" He asked as I handed him a still sleepy Tuk. "This dumbass along with his dumbass friends took Lo'ak outside the reef and left him!" Neteyam's eyes widened, the sleep leaving them. "You what?!" He yelled. Once again Ao'nung coward in shame. "I thought he would be back by now as I said, but he isn't!"
"AH!" I screamed in anger, surprising Ao'nung and Neteyam as I grabbed Ao'nung by the neck and dragged him with me to Jake.
"Where are we going?!" He yelled, trying to get out of my grip. "To Jake, so you can tell him what you did," I said, anger lacing my voice as I stopped on the net where Jake and Kiri were sitting near the water. Jake heard us approach as he turned his head. "What is this?" He asked as I let go of Ao'nung as Neteyam stood beside me and placed his hand on my lower back to calm me down.
